You have done a lot with only 50 words. That isn't easy to do. And the surprise twist at the end was the capper. But like your title says, one day we all have to "wake to the dream" and put the dream into action. Good job!

A dribble truly worth of one of FS's Stars.
Michael Cahill may be gone, but I daresay he will never be forgotten. His ability to turn a phrase, or help someone see the worth in their own writing was legendary.
I especially remember last year when I won Recognized Writer of the Month - for some reason FS wasn't posting the little ribbons - he made sure I had the icon for my Profile.
God speed, Mikey!

I really enjoyed how much depth and personality you were able to put into such a short story. I can easily picture and enthusiastic young producer (or actor I suppose, but I pictured a producer personally), sunk into the chair front and center of the theater and watching the others excitedly piling in. Good job and good luck!
All the best,
Nina

Hey Mike: How are things going in Paradise? We miss you, my friend.
I missed this piece when you first posted it but I sure am glad I caught it this time around. You're right, even at my age I still daydream about being famous.
Well, Mike, you may have not been a superstar in Hollywood but you sure were here at Fanstory. I've been here for over ten years and I've never seen anyone become so well liked and received as you did.
You were exactly what Fanstory needed. In just a short period of time, you brought life back to this place. Helping those in need of advice, starting various clubs, sponsoring contests, joining contests, voicing your opinions in the forums and the list goes on and on.
We will miss you, my friend. However, there comes a time when we all must move on to the next stage of life.
Watch over us all Mike, be our constant muse. Enjoy Paradise, my friend...Bill

This is a good story. I think many have that dream at one time or another. I enjoyed your story. I liked how your narrator told this tale. Good luck in the contest.

Michael deserves these stars and all the prayers of those whose lives he touched. I wish I could have known him, but have been here only a bit. He was obviously loved and respected and deserves all the prayers and wishes of those who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Poet.

When I saw the author, I had to read this -- Mikey, my friend, I am going to miss you very much. R.I.P. gentle man, friend to all. I will save this so that I always have your work on my shelf. Your picture is already in my mind, your journey in my prayers.

For only 50 words the storyline is clear. From the sound of it, the story comes from the perspective of a daydreaming wishing to be in the limelight like her favorite star one day. I like the use of color here, it helped to assure an easy read.
