Hi Dean, absolutely brilliant and lighthearted poem that is soooo funny! Your advice about those consistent whingers as some reviewers are - is just perfect, One of the best poems I have read on here for ages my friend.

Hahahaha! Thank you, Eric. It was all written tongue-in-cheek, my friend, and not meant to be taken literally. But I have to admit, you and I both know there's some truth in those final two lines. Heh-heh-heh...
Thanks again for yet another fine, positive review. I deeply appreciate it, and I'm happy this got a laugh outta you.

Really cute and adorable. An egg is a boneless chicken, ha, ha. It matters little what you eat
as long as you don't taste defeat.
Just dodge your critic's harshest blows
then make them eat a little crow. My favorite quatrain. Imaginative and descriptive, real cool art work makes it a sunny delight with the fright. here's you a six egg omelette, gobble bobble heads, it's you. boo...

Thanks a million, 'Ghost! I wasn't even sure I should post this silly thing, but I did anyhow. I know you can relate to this. Heck, anyone who writes and slaves over their keyboard as much as we do should be able to relate.
Thanks for the sixer and awesome comments. As always, you made my day!

Oh what I'll do for 92 cents (and 8 points as my compensense.) I read through lots of fluff and nutter and try to respond without a stutter! Who cares about breakfast or your food, just show us your writer's attitude. Make sense of form and rhyme and meter and maybe a drink if thought's start to teter.

Hahahaha... what a wonderful poetic response, twinklepoems. Thank you for that, and for taking a shot at it in the first place. I deeply appreciate your time and effort in reviewing, and your thoughtful comments as well.

What a fun poem. Yes, I have almost starved myself on a couple of occasions writing so much that I forget or do not want to stop to eat. What a nuisance! Your poem pokes fun at this. Your rhymes and words are a delicious meal in and of themselves. Your poem also inspires writers to persevere. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for your sincere and receptive response to this slightly different type of post for me, Andre. I deeply appreciate the fact that you not only read and reviewed it, but you enjoyed its light-hearted nature as well.

I don't need sympathy Dean when it gave me a chuckle and the little chuckling crow did that. I'm not such a prolific writer as you so I don't have this problem. Always interesting.

Oh, you sell yourself too short, Mon Ami. You are an excellent writer, and I should know. I've read a lot of your work.
Thanks for taking time out to read and review this, Pearl. As always, I greatly appreciate both your time and your encouragement.

This is a nice response to all the criticism one gets after putting so much work into something. It is funny along with airing the crest-falleness (word?) that the author endures with negative criticism.

Breakfalupper? uhm! this is inventive poetry, entertaining and rather tragic to read, with the picture of those poor eggs... just waiting for the chop/crack.
Then we see their poor life juices poured from pan to pan... rather macabre (from their point of view). So eggs have joined the list of subjects you terrify with your writing. Really Dean... Hah! Hah!
A cracking poem. (sorry).
:) Mel.

Hahahaha... a "cracking poem", Mel says. That was good, Mel.
Yeah, eggs are just really liquefied flesh, right? At least that's what I've been told. Yuck!
Thanks again for your thoughtful review. I very much appreciate it as always...

I love it. Great presentation. I too hate stopping to write to fix a meal. I can live on Slim Fast's and salads. But men want meat and at least three other items on their plate.
