Dean I thought this poem indeed is very terrifying just to think who gets the medical care they deserve even to me if as you said some patients are better dead instead
being encased in ebony ,embraced by death.

solid abab rhyming - I like the bereft/death proximate rhyming
effective multi-media presentation
compelling use of questions that intensify the emotion and engage the reader

Oh God, Dean this is truly horrifying. The sound of the flat line scared the shi- out of my cat, too!!! LOL. You raise a terrifying point - will there eventually be boards deciding who lives and who dies based on financial considerations? (I think there is already influence to that effect...)
Magnificent presentation. Frightened me, and I don't frighten easily. Superb writing too. (including the author's notes! LOL)

Well, Ideasaregems-Dawn, it's always a great pleasure to frighten the hard to frighten. That mean I'm doing what I set out to do, LOL...
Thanks for the awesome review!

The handwriting on the wall- think we all have seen it at one time or another or maybe have felt it leave the wall and etch itself into our skin, the stab of "evil conformity". I know you meant this as a commentary on choices doctors may have to make, but it is open to other interpretations. There is a black humour to this. Powerful write.

Hah, yes, there's a lot of subliminal black humor in this, ravenblack. I'm very happy to see that you noticed. Thanks for the great review!

Your topic is worth the six alone, I (Janie) have worked in the medical field for 45 years and it is truly scary where it is all headed. Thank God at this point they think my life is still worth treating but then I'm blessed by having excellent insurance, my son, Dean, saw to that before he died. Good piece. God loves you and we do too.

Hi Dean,
I completely agree with the point you are making. In fact, I consider Dr. Kevorkian a hero. Whatever happened to him, I wonder.
You've used your usual bells and whistles to enhance this poem and add to the spooky, yet thought provoking nature. Who the hell keeps whispering as I write this? I feel like smacking her face, lol.
Hugs,
Lou

Thanks so much, Louise. I think Kevorkian got locked up a couple of years ago, if I'm not mistaken. Oh, and if you find that whisperer, smack her for me, too. She torments the heck outta' me, LOL...

Wait a minute - you're the one who put her there with your background audio.

I did? Are you sure I did?, heh-heh...

Wow, Dean, you do make one think. As a health professional myself, it is a subject I have worried at. I myself, am more than grateful to know I will never sit on such a committee. The thought does indeed chill, I am relieved of that responsibility and can stick to the age old mantra of "do no harm."

Cool, Cry, I was not aware that you were a health care professional. Another of my favorite authors and good friend here on FS is a surgeon in Australia, DR DIP. You're all good people, doing good things, thanks!

An excellent poem! The poem is definitely eccentric and
deep... The author using words through each stanza that are thought provoking and questioning. The artwork, sounds and presentation are complimentary to this poem.
Thank you, harmony13

Great poem about something that I think about constantly. All I want is to make enough money to preserve myself so I can come back. Who knows, huh?

Heh, thanks, JM. And, yeah, why not? I'm not so sure we'd like the world when we awoke, however, not if it keeps heading along on it's current course...

I'm seeing about preserving myself, let's see how it works.

This is another great story from the author. I especially like the link between the writing on the wall and the hand scratching a trace of blood down the wall in the picture.
