The patriotic part of me related this with the song. Your unique poem is vere well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Heh, well, Brooke didn't want any zombies, boogey-men nor vampires in this one, so I had to leave 'em out. Rest assured, despite so many telling me that I should forsake the "horror junk", and stick to more serious writings such as this, the monsters will be back...With a vengeance!
Thanks, again...

Well Dean, we now know that you are ambidextrous. LOL.
I'm interested to see that you have left the blood and gore behind for this poem.
This is a beautiful poem and does good justice to this subject.
We know someone who owns Jersey lavender farm. They have fields of lavender growing at this moment, pity you can't transmit the smell in your poem. (or perhaps not)
You have done a fine job with the words. This makes it worth six stars. ****** That's the best I can do with special effects. LOL.
:) mel.

Hah, well, special FX aren't everything, Mel. The writing is the of the poetry. All the rest is just the gravy...
Thanks for your wonderful review...

When you deviate from your favorite horror tales you only show how masterful a writer you are. This is emotionally satisfying as well as a verbal and visual delight.
Thanks for taking up adewpearl's challenge and creating this.

Thanks for that wonderful compliment, w.j. debi. To write, and write effectively, I have always believed we gotta' have one foot in the clouds, and one in the grave...
Thanks again for your great review.

Dean: I'm nearly dazed with the majesty and impact of this work..and so sorry that I have no sixes left to offer but I
'm sure it will gather many! This is truly one of the most magnificent presentations I've ever seen and I would suggest that (for the enrichment of the poetic craft. and perhaps your own purse) you offer a technical course on how to construct these marvelous "PictomusicPoems" sign me up first! Awsome! And congratulations! HIS GRAYNESS: Vance

Thanks Vance, and I have taught a few poets to do this, our own poet.wayne is one of them. Private message me sometime, I'd be glad to explain to you, to the best of my abilities, how to construct one.
Thanks, again my friend!

And an outstanding pictapoem it is!
A well-crafted writing, incorporating the color purple in a spiritual manner;
Great visual imagery: "violet symphony's delight"; "fields of lilac"--good creativity in utilizing various shades of this deep color;
All is right when God fills our world with colorful splendor, as he calls upon us to enter his glorious kingdom.

Another fine piece,Dean. Your work s exquisite to say the least. You are missing the boat if you don't incorporate these in some sort of active "book" where they can be seen and appreciated by someone other than Fanstorians. Bravo! Bob
