I'm so sorry for your loss. I have a younger brother whom I love dearly. He lives nearby but we are both on oxygen and we don't get out. We talk on the phone. The thought of losing him breaks my heart. God Bless and keep you and bring you peace Chrissy. Nancy:)

Hi Nancy
Thank you for your review it is very much appreciate
I am sorry for my late reply but I was attending
my brothers funeral this week. My husband and I
needed to travel over 1500kls interstate to attend
under difficult Quarantine requirements.
However with much hassle we arrived the day before
Jim had a beautiful funeral service
and I was privileged to do his eulogy
Then we had to come straight home another 1500kls
I will miss my brother very much

Sorry, for your loss. The well written free verse sounds like you are dealing with it as well as you can. This is a wonderful letter to him describing a loving family relationship. The first holidays without a family member is hard but it sounds like he will be there in spirit, making you smile. Writing about it seems to help. I always did for me.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Chrissy,
May your travel into New South Wales be made smoother ( without more red tape and bureaucratic hurdles ) and your burden made less heavy by the grace of whatever High Power has his/her hand upon your life. There are no words that can take away the sting of a loved ones passing- for the place at the table and in your heart will always have a missing piece.
Know that through your connections here at Fan Story and the ones you have made all through your lifetime will offer support and love of many levels to you and to your family.
May the memories of your sweet brother Jim always be ones that make your heart lighter when picture him in your minds eye/heart.
Respectfully,
Sammielwf

Chrissy,
My wife and I send loving thoughts and peace from our home to yours.
I am glad that you returned home safely and do not envy the heaviness your heart must hold from delivering the eulogy for your brother.
Know you are thought of with healing light from the States.

What a wonderful tribute to your brother Jim, Christine. I really enjoyed the way you presented this-in a letter to him, an amazing idea and a creative one. It is never easy to hear of a loved one who passes especially one who has a bright future before them. Peace be with him and all of you as you go forth. Blessings.

Oh what a beautiful tribute to your brother, and sorry for your loss. I love the thought of that letter being tossed into the wind.
This itself would make a fine Eulogy, he would be so proud of you.
Bless you for sharing your story and your grief.

Chris,
I am so sorry to hear that you've lost someone so special and dear to you. It sounds like it was only you and your brother? That makes him the only one who remembers all the same shared experiences. I am sending hugs--

I'm so sorry for your loss, Chrissy. It's times like this we could do without all the hassle of paperwork. I thought your letter was lovely, and what a beautiful idea it was to send it to him on the wind. Memories keep us together, they can't be taken away. Warm hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

That drive must have been so traumatic knowing what you were travelling for, and with the virus and it's quarantine measures. But you got there and I can quite imagine you giving a wonderful tribute to your dear brother. Again, I'm really sorry for your loss, my friend. xxx

You are very welcome and deserving, Christine. It is the least we can do to offer support at a difficult time. I am glad you were able to be there for his funeral, and I am sure you gave a beautiful eulogy. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
