This is delightful to read. Nicholas is getting introduced to all sorts of magical creatures and fixtures. It looks like being the grounds keeper can be an exciting and rewarding job--if all the magical elements approve.

Constantine is certainly a mess, isn't he?! ;) Thanx again! ;) Yvette
Comment from Jannypan (Jan)
I enjoyed this chapter, YM. Your dialogue is fun to read. I can 'hear' these two standing there discussing all that is happening. I love the idea of the pink armadillo. What I really like about these chapters is the length--not too long, not too short. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully with Love and Admiration, Jan.

I can totally understand his confusion and curiosity in the first paragraph. Offended Constantine must have looked so cute. Haha, wow that's a powerful ending, I can't even begin to imagine what's in store next.

Another good one. I see it's entered in the Create a Chapter contest.
I wish you good luck with that.
The character list is growing slowly and causing interest.
Well done.

Haha I'm excited to read about the pink armadillo. Constantine is a very loveable character, he's fun to read about and his antics are already proving enjoyable.

Nicholas has definitely had a full life and documenting it is fun! :) :) Thanx for the time you're taking on these, Melonie -- so very appreciated on this end!! ;) Yvette

Another great chapter in your budding book about the magical gardens. Nothing like a ninja armadillo. That's quite the combo. Looking forward to chapter four.

The blonde's imagination is a bit nutty, yeah?! ;) :) LOL! So good to have you on board -- you're time means a lot! ;) :) Take care! Yvette

The dialogue is natural and believable in the context of this magical space. And now a ninja armadillo makes its appearance. I'm beginning to think you should pitch this story for a children's tv series.

I had to go back and catch up, Yvette. I don't know how I missed this chapter. And I was wondering when you were going to post another chapter. My bad, obviously.
Well, your characters are so likable, even the angry gnome. And, I can tell that I will like your ninja armadillo.
Now I can read the next chapter without forgetting anything.

Naaah... think it probably came out when you were on your trip or something...it's been over a month - as I said in my notes, I'm in arrears when it comes to my books.... but I'm trying to catch up!! ;) :) Thanx for catching up and take care! ;) Yvette
P.S. What's Tues or Wed next week look like for you....? Will not hurt my feelings in the least if you'd rather not... I'll leave the call up to you! ;) :) :) :)

I want to very much, but mom has definitely taken a turn for the worst. Hospice thinks that she is in the dying phase now. I hate to leave her. She is very clingy. It's pretty awful around here. I need to get out, but I need to be strong for her.
-
Totally understand, Debbie -- wish things were different for you and for her, but I will keep you both in prayer. :) Please keep me apprised of her progress... :) And BE SURE to take good care of you, Beautiful!! ;) Yvette

I'll let you know. I've been expecting this for a year and a half now. They took her off of Hospice a few weeks ago, but I appealed and won. Thank goodness I have their help.

You have a knack for ending chapters keeping the reader on edge, wanting more. I look forward to the next instalment, at least, I hope there will be more.

LOL! Gotta keep you coming back next time! ;) :) Thanx so much for the review! :) This is written for the middle school/upper elementary but hopefully is interesting enough to get their parents to read along as well... :) :) Thanx for your support! ;) Yvette

I am in awe of your imagination... illumination coming on each time young Nicholas enters the shed, a rose bush standing guard, the silly gnome stomping around and now a pink armadillo! This story rocks as my 10-year-old grandson would say.
Blessings

LOL! So glad you enjoyed the blonde's craziness, Sylvia (LOL!). This one is being written in the shorter chapter format for middle schoolers or even upper elementary students... hopefully it's intriguing enough that their parents would enjoy it, too! ;) :) Thank you so very much for the review, ma'am -- so good to hear from you! Come back any time...would love to have you hang around - lol! ;) :) Yvette
