This is a great sentence and it reflects Gladys's personality very well: She quivered just the way jelly does when you scoop it out the bowl.
I'm glad to see Charles is having a hard time. He deserves it.
Great story. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so very much, Maria, for the lovely shiny stars and the fabulous review. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have just two parts left and a possible epilogue and then that will be it! After three books, I'll miss them. Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Yes, it did turn out better than expected, Sandra I enjoyed reading this chapter. You included great details. I felt I was there in the room as this unfolded. Well, hopefully, the VA is done for good.
'slithers'--I have never heard this used this way. However, it may be part of the UK dialect. (smithereens I have heard of).
Thanks for sharing. Jan

Thank you for another lovely review, Jan. I double checked on the 'slither's of glass. Apparently, 'slithers' was upgraded from, 'Slivers' in the early 1900s by the British upper-class snobs. They thought 'slivers' sounded common. LOL. I have changed it to, 'jagged shards of glass' now.
I'm really pleased that you and my readers enjoyed this part, I had such fun writing it. Now there are only two chapters lets and a possible epilogue. Thanks again, my friend, for all your support. :)) Sandra xx

Churchill is likely to either have Charles committed or hanged for treason! This chapter is fabulous! I was laughing so hard. I can't wait to see what becomes of Charles.

Thank you so much for this fabulous review. It could go either way. :) I'm really glad you enjoyed this part, Charles couldn't get away with murdering Gladys, and they definitely didn't want him messing around with the timeline. I hope to post the next part on Wednesday, and the final chapter on Sunday, so stay tuned. Big hugs, Sandra xxx

Well! I think they may have have succeeded in getting Charles' career put to the sword Sandra, what a fabulous episode, completely embarrassing Charles in such a delicious manner, nothing more than a capital crime committer deserves. Well done, excellent entertainment, blessings, Roy

LOL! Bravo! This is hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed the read. I hope Tom picks it as a nominee for book of the month. It's a sure winner. Just look at you! A top-notch novelist! I always knew you had it in you, and you proved me right over and over, but this chapter is something new--great humor! Not many people write humor well, but you're a natural. :)

Bless your heart, thank you so much, Phyllis. The six stars are almost as nice as your wonderful review and I thank you for both. Only two parts left to go and a possible prologue. :)) Sandra xx

Now we are getting down to the nitty-gritty of how to make a fool out of a murderous husband. We did it in front of Winston Churchill no less. Stepped on his bowler he did. Called his wife a bitch and I'm sure Mr. Churchill thought he was referring to him. Oh Boy! You did a good job! He will never live this down. Well done Sandra. Nancy:)

Thank you so very much for this fabulous review, Nancy! I'm over the moon that you enjoyed this part. I had so much fun writing it. Only two parts to go and still one more crisis to sort out. Thank you also for the shiny 6 stars, my wonderful friend. Big hugs. Sandra xxxx

This is a good edition. Now that Churchill thinks Charles has lost his mind, does it mean things will change? I like that they made Charles look crazy. I wouldn't want a crazy person handling troops. I look forward to what happens next. This flows very well and it has the twist that I like. Well done.

Oh, this was better than anything I could imagine. They really did a number on Charles, and left him with absolutely no explanation that made sense. Not only did he lose his balance and look drunk, but he stepped on Churchill's hat! I laughed so hard. I think the ladies have accomplished their mission, but it would be fun to watch them 'torture' the Venomous Asp some more. Hahahahahahaha

Oh, Yvonne, thank you so much for this fabulous review, I'm so glad you liked how Veronica and Gladys handled Charles. Now with any luck, the timeline will be saved and Mildred and Veronica can go home. Two more parts to go! Thank you so much for the 6 stars, my dear friend, that is so kind of you. Big hugs, :)) Sandra xxx

Not kind. Honest!

Their plan was perfect. Not only did that asp loose everything, he might be found insane too, lol. The story is well-written, interesting, very suspenseful, I'm so glad Charles finally got what he deserved.
Only two chapters to go, no! Hopefully you have another story in mind.

I love it. You did a perfect job destroying Charles. GREAT
he pleaded, his voice reminding me of a schoolboy caught out in a prank. (I would omit 'out' and use reminded.)

Thank you so much, Barbara, for this lovely review, and for the 6 shiny stars! I'm so pleased you enjoyed Charles humiliation. I don't think Churchill will want him leading the fleet now. :)) Thanks for the help, I'm off to make the changes now. Two more parts to go! Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xx
