What a great chapter to see in the New Year. It makes me chuckle to think Mildred has a 'killer' instinct too, but as James says, it might be a completely different ball game when she finds out what's at stake.
I can't wait to find out!
Hugs to you and your family for 2019 - I hope it brings you lots of good things.

I can't believe Mildred is capable of murder either. I can't wait to see how you solve this problem, and it's a huge problem. I wish you a wonderful and blessed New Year.

Hi, Sandra. Well here we go with another year, eh? May I ask how many chapters will be in this book? Just curious.
Your story keeps rolling right along with the central plot still made interesting reading. Excellent dialogue and images like this one: "The smell of the sea wafted from each one, and for a moment I closed my eyes and imagined I was standing in the water as the waves lapped my feet."
Suggestion: "the surer I was that this was the only logical answer."
Try "the more sure (or confident) I was that this was the only logical answer."
Take care,my friend. /Bob

Good morning, Bob, and a happy New Year to you and your family.
How many chapters? I have no idea. I work on word count, my last two novels in this trilogy had between 75 and 80.000, which I found out from my Writers and Artist Year Book, is what most publishers like these days. I know many authors plan their chapters out in advance, I don't go that way, my plot evolves as I go along and has worked well for me.
Thank you so much for reading this part, my friend, I really appreciate it. I wish you good health and success in this coming year. Big hugs, Sandra xx

Nope, I too let the characters write my books for me. :) Bob

Interesting chapter. I would think it would be hard for your positive characters to think up a murder. Hope there's a away to avoid it and still achieve the right end result.
I liked that you even included a craft project for the kids here.

You don't know my characters, Helen, LOL. But, you are right, they have never been in this situation before so it will be interesting to see what happens. Thank you so much for reading this part. Have a wonderful 2019! :)) Sandra xx

You run a risk if you try to change history. everything could disappear in a moment. This is a great chapter. It's easy to see why you are named book of the month so often.

This is the problem facing Veronica. She can't allow that to happen. Thank you so very much for your kind review, Tom, and for the lovely compliment. Have a wonderful 2019! :)) Sandra xx

Isn't it lovely to gaze on one's slumbering child, or, for Elaine and myself, when our grandchildren sleep over for the night. Another great episode, delving into the time's circumstancial "sliding doors". The thought of Mildred killing another human sounds ridiculous, but it seems it must be done. What a cad Pembroke is. Great chapter Sandra, HNY, my friend, blessjngs, Roy

Bless you, Dorothy! Thank you so much for the stars and the congrats. It was quite a rush at the end, I was so desperate to get Eric's book done and published for Christmas, and least now I can relax a little. Working on two books at the same time, is not a good idea!
So, how far have you got now, or have you had a little break from publishing yours for the moment? Just give me a shout when you want to, I am up to date with my work now and just going forward. I want to see it on Amazon soon. Happy New Year my friend, and a healthy, successful one too to you and your family. :) lots of love, Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra,
Happy New Year to you!
I'm jumping into this story cold. I totally intend to order your second book in this series since I missed a bunch of chapters in that one. You have such a fascinating story with wonderful characters. I do wonder why we don't see these time travellers amongst us lol! You could write for Dr. who shows. Your episodes would be much better.
So Mildred is still with us in the past even though she died in the present. I will have to catch up with this story now. Keep writing to us. You are an extremely talented writer, my friend.

Hi Joy, how lovely to see you! A Happy New Year to you and all your family, too, my friend!
A lot has happened with Mildred since the end of the last book, if you are getting the book I won't say anything in case it spoils it for you. This story begins when they are taken to 1905 - 1914 the time of the suffragettes, and then leaps forward to the first World War, where Veronica learns of a murder. She is then sent back to 1996, but not our 1996, a time where she learns we lost the first war and there wasn't a second one. Veronica has a lot to sort out.
I had to laugh at your reference to Dr Who. Could you imagine it really? LOL, I could actually see Mildred as Dr who! Now there's a thought! LOL, Thank you so much, my dear friend, I couldn't help but have a giggle. You are so kind. Big hugs, and lots of love. Sandra xxx

I like this and the picture. It's hard to believe someone commuted murder if you believe they are good person, and incapable of such. The thing is anyone is capable of murder. The time travel I have a problem with, but it's not your writing, it's I have a problem with time travel itself. I find it can be confusing, and I have read stories with time travel and seen movies with it. I am curious though to see if history will not be changed. Well done.

Thank you for reading this part, and for the kind review. I know what you mean, it can be confusing. This book is a bit different to the first two in the Trilogy, They were relatively easy to follow, this book has taken Veronica to three eras, 1905-14 with the Suffragettes, 1915/6 during WW1, and to the parallel world to show how one man interfering with a moment in time can dramatically change our future. Veronica has to sort it all out. I try to keep it as light as possible by having the children come into the story at times. No murder has been committed yet. :)) I hope you will continue to read my story and find out how it all ends. :) Sandra xx

I enjoyed tis chapter, Sandra. For me, it cleared up several things I was wondering about. You did a great job with this part. The discussion about the murdering of the official was direct and intriguing. It will really give a good storyline in the future. I liked the part about the conch shell. That is just ho I envision kids reacting to the sound. Great job and thanks for haring. Jan

Thank you so much, Jan. I'm lucky in that I've been watching my grandchildren a lot when I've done things with them. The conch always surprises young children. The shell pots, I did with my children when they were young, so it all fitted in nicely. I'm glad you enjoyed the lighthearted part. Now, Veronica has to talk to Mildred... Thanks again, my friend. :) Sandra xx
