What a beautiful poem and the picture of the rose is wonderful too. It is my favorite color for a rose, which is also my favorite flower. You did a great job in writing this.

Yes the red rose is what comes to my mind when I think Rose. I do have other colors but red is my favorite too. I hope you are feeling well today Kat. :-) Carolyn

I totally agree with you about roses. We bought a house in late 2013 and there are several rose bushes in the garden. There are pink, yellow, red and white roses. We are so lucky to have them.

I thought that you created beautiful imagery in this haiku, Carolyn. I particularly liked the line: Regal fragrance grace senses, for me this conjured up smells of perfume. The backdrop was also a well chosen colour. I couldn't find anything to critique. Good luck in the contest...Jacob

What a great work Lady Carolyn...So few words that expressed so much..Roses do not grow too well here on the Big Island so we substitute with Hibiscus of many colors..Thank for sharing this colorful work with us

this is an excellent haiku, Carolyn, roses are so beautiful and soft. the second line trips me up a bit because of fragrance grace being so close in sound. I wish you the best of luck in the contest.
