Very true, notesandmore, and well written. Had I laughed more in my youth, not been so stressed out and try to be such a perfectionist (which we, as humans can never become), then perhaps I wouldn't have to take all of the medications that I do now for my heart condition. And besides, just like you stated, it's great exercise for the muscles of the face to laugh. keeps those nagging worry lines from coming on too quickly.
Well doe, and best of luck to you in the ABC poetry contest!

This is an excellent 'ABC' poem, notesandmore.
How right you are about laughter. Whenever I need a good laugh, I strip off and check myself out in the mirror. ;-)
Great fun ending too.
Best wishes, Ray.

I am not sure I would want to 'die laughing' so I will refrain from the activity you mentioned. LOL Thank you for this wonderful review.

This is a lovely ABC and a most worthy contest contender. Your message is one of truth and an important life lesson to learn - especially to be able to laugh freely at your own mistakes. I wish you all the best in the judging and thank you so much for sharing this with me.

Hi Carolyn,
This is really great! I just love the way the verse is written and wondered what version it came from. I have ten versions of the Bible and finally found it in the one called The Book. I'll have to start writing poetry from it. I've known for many years that every time I laugh I feel so much better.

God certainly knew what he was doing when he created us. Don't you know he must have had a joyous week, and laughed each time He said, It is good.

Carolyn, you always bring a smile to my face with your poetry and this one certainly was no different.
Nicely done for a Cardinal fan!
Medicines could be replaced with the laughter that is within us. Have a great day. John
