Another excellent piece of creative and talented writing my friend. Love the story too that is told in your author notes, but your poem gives one the feel anyway.

I wish I had a six, sorry none left. I must say, your work goes beyond poetry to individual works of art. Yet again another great poem with sound effects. Congratulations on your recent win as well. AJ.

So very glad that I am safe and secure here on our 'hill' Dean. I did enjoy the sound effects with this one my friend. I need to go check something...I think the septic might be plugged (no 'stinky' here I hope)
thanks my friend,
karen

This is another dark and disturbing tale that the author has created with this piece of writing. The writer tells a gruesome tale to the reader. The white man could have learned a lot from the native Americans, the Cherokee in this case.

Thanks a million, Tomes. I agree, the Native American Indian could have helped us out a great deal, if we would have allowed them to.

This is a very well written, entertaining and informative poem. It easily holds one's attention. Good job.
Reading this, I have to admit, did bring memories of a time many years ago when I used to live in Wyoming.
Thanks for sharing this. JW

"Never goad the devil." Excellent advice actually. The piece certainly has an ominous feel to it and is artfully written. I can' help but to apply the horror legend to "regular" people and life... what's presented during the "sunshine" and what really lurks in the dark of people's minds. Excellent piece.

I coulda swore, I reviewed this one already, Dean? I am definitely losing it. I will be 74 in a couple of weeks. Could age have anything to do with it? LOL
Anyway I love your work, and this poetry is no exception..."The devil and his dark minions mourning"
Whew! Good write, my friend. Bob

Seventy-four? Well, just like fine wine, we only get better with age, right? (LOL)
Thanks for the wonderful review, Bob!

This is a well-written horror poem full of powerful and evocative imagery. An interesting genre and certainly one that lends itself to poetry. Your historical references help to add a mystical, mythical element too. Well done!
