Beautiful scene set. so serene & calming...Unlike some of your daring poem...Ode to the Sea..Can see through this why my husband, the sailor, loves the ocean & what it can mean...

This is a magical piece, Dean. It held a special meaning for me because of something that happened a long time ago. It was during my frivolous, yet adventurous days that I allowed someone to hypnotize me to do what she described as "age regression." After she'd gone through the usual hocus pocus of hypnotizing me to calmness, the most amazing thing happened. I saw myself steering a long ship on the ocean. It was a fishing ship, but I was I was in command. My daughter was on the ship, and was my sister. The hypnotist guided me on to a very old age. I was never able to reconcile that session; I still haven't, but I do believe it was real. I find I am still fascinated by the ocean, and I always feel its lure. This is an exceptional poem with its extraordinary art!

Thanks very much for such an insightful and interesting story, Titanx9, that was pretty cool! I have never allowed myself to be hypnotized. I'm too scared of what might 'pop out', LOL...
Thanks again!

Hi Dean, sorry I'm out of sixes but this poem deserves one. Love the calming picture and the waves lapping on the sand with the palm tree. Very meditative! The poem as ever is awesome, well thought out and beautifully written. The author notes about the visual cortex add depth to what is already brilliant. Well done, best wishes, Pete :)

I love the video and the sound of waves coming ashore. What a peaceful and beautiful scene. I wouldn't mind being stranded on that island with Jennifer Anniston or some other hot babe. But I don't see a poem here.

Huh? No poem? There must be a problem, because there is, indeed, a poem...Too many others have said so. What are you seeing? You don't see the words in the picture, or are you simply yankin' my chain?

Dean: further each time I share your work, the power of imagination reveals itself deeper and brighter! This is another splendid "experience" taking poetry into a totally new dimension and I could not celebrate it more than to let you know how much I would cherish having the gifts of knowing how to blend these visuals and sounds to further express the passion of my poetic works. Cheers! HIS GRAYNESS...Vance

Dean, your talent is always amazing. This poem has it all. It has the best of rhyme and meter. But more, it has that wonderful storytelling ability that always resides in your poetry. I love the special effects you always use so well. This is a wonderful piece.

Excellent photo to complement you Ode to the sea. I love the sea and an Ode to it should really get a six, but don't have anymore. Nice rhyme in it as well and you covered a lot of ground. Best wishes for the contest.
