Very attractive characters, and very realistic, natural dialogue make this a fun chapter to read. I'll be interested to see if the relationship between Jana and Dred is re-established. The chapter reads well and moves forward at a good clip.

Outstanding! Absolutely wonderful, and I really enjoyed hearing about the migraine and Chinese philosophy. I love Dred and Jana together. You can just feel the chemistry.
There is one sentence: ..'feelings about this case that I haven't felt comfortable sharing with anyone on the Task Force. There's a dimension to this case that needs to..'
Maybe see if you can flip that around and avoid 'this case' twice like that. It's the only thing I saw, and I was looking, you know me. Can't help it!
Great job,
Hugs,
Gayle

Hi, Gayle. Thanks so much for the excellent editorial suggestion LOL. I don't like repeats that close together, but completely missed that.
And thanks so much for very encouraging and so-generous review. I really appreciate it!
Hugs, Bev

Interesting chapter, Bev. Your interest in unconventional medical solutions shines through. I enjoyed the little foray into Chinese energy medicine. I've found acupuncture helpful. There's little doubt, in my mind, that energy is what we are and any disturbance in the energy fields can lead to dysfunctions in the body. That leads to all kinds of interesting possibilities.
Hey, you even turned your pen to a bit of romance. Why do I get the feeling Jana is more comfortable aiming a gun than she is in a man's crushing embrace? LOL! I bet when she finally melts, there's an inferno bubbling at the centre. LOL!
Damn! Jana still has this grey shape following her. And Dred sees it! "what the hell is coming next?" Good chapter, Bev.

Yes, I'm quite fascinated by alternative methods of healing. I'm seeing Jana as a focal point for a possible series, so I felt the need to flesh her character out. A good insight about her fear of emotional connecting. A very asute review, my friend. I appreciate the encouragement and generosity.

Interesting as always and you brought along another cultural mix, the natives and the Chinese. Plus you had that scene at the end as a hook to keep us reading. Great job. The scenes were all clearly explained.

What an interesting read. It is well written and flows nicely. There is so much about the human body that western medicine still don't or want to understand. Seems like there is definitely a lot more to Jana than meets the eye.

Remarkable chapter, I have some catching up to do. Your dialogue is as lively as ever, and I like the way that you use that to show us what is going on. You are very skillful at shifting from the action into Jana's mind, I am practicing on that.
Good chapter, left us hanging again.

Thanks so much, Irish. I strive, with every chapter, to be a little bit better writer. So, your remarks are much appreciated, my friend.

How about that Chinese doctor? Jana's friend sees a connection to Uncle Tony. The Chinese doctor's prognosis is impressive and Jana's mind is back in action, it even seems to have kicked up a notch.
Excellent chapter hook with the momentary, mysterious mist between Dred and Jana.

Thanks, Norbanus. I've studied Chinese energy medicine with a man that Dr. Suen is based upon. It's endlessly fascinating to me.
I appreciate your great review!

An interesting blending of different practices from different cultures, but well done! the plaot thickens, the characters develop, and the answer is still up in the air! thanks so much for choosing my artwork! donkeyoatey

Good stuff, Bevvers. And that nice little switch in POV near the end was the work of a true novelist. This book just gets better.

This is an intriguing story.
The Chinese healer adds nice insight. I hope this scene comes into play again.
The dialogue seems a little forced for two people that are very familiar with each other."I'm on my way to my favorite local restaurant. If you have no plans, I'd like for you to join me.
"I'd really enjoy that, Jana."
Jana sticking her tongue out at him seems very natural and gives insight into their past that the dialogue doesn't seem to reflect.
it closes well and adds to the intrigue.
thanks for sharing
