out of all your work that I have reviewed so far, I enjoy this one the most. I think perhaps the villanelle may be your form. I love silence too and your metaphors for it work well " autumn leaves fall muted in almond shaped tiers"; " no lavish language to save in a glowing silver case" - good job

Quiet can be so nice and I liked your Villanelle a lot. You kept to all the requirements. It is a real gem. One to remember. I also liked how you kind of painted a picture in it.

Amada - Your Villanelle style poetry is very nice. I sure appreciate quietness too. I haven't read very many Villanelle poems but think you did a super job on this. Kat

If we like the quietness and silence then it is not loneliness. We best describe this inner peace as solitude. Solitude can be a very good old friend if we push aside it as loneliness of a different nature.
In solitude we usually open our minds to thoughts of greatness and to excel and overcome the toils and trials of life.
We find enlightenment and solitude will give us the solace, peace and tranquility we seek.
Excellent write about solitude - describe in a different way but on a comparative basis. Everyone loves solitude - if we are able to find it in our hearts when at peace with God.
Cheerio, Ritchie.

Hi Amada.
I can relate very well to your excellent piece because i have written a similar one "Alone but not loneliness!". Do check it out if you like solitude and its feeling.
Cheerio, Ritchie.

Have no clue what Villanelle is, Amada, but this poem spoke volumes to me. Silence is a gift that I believe many crave today...total silence...inside and outside. What wonderful rhyme and rhythm. Thank you, my friend, for such insightful thoughts this morning. xxSusan

The message is clear and understandable. The rhyming is good. This piece flows well and the harmony is where it needs to be. My attention is captured and held to the end. Good job.

I appreciate your ode to silence.
I too am a big fan of the quiet ... almost a luxury in the noisy world we live in.
I like your repeating lines.
I especially liked: l
ike when silences embrace the veil of inner ear,
In its shield, I feel that Heaven's almost near.
Hugs, d

To amada,
There is a subdued aura about this poem that captures the innocence of quietude.
It has a calming and most distant sound of stillness.
I really liked you metaphor of: Autumn leaves fall muted in almond-shaped tiers
Nice flow and very good rhythm.

strong aba rhymes in your tercets with a solid closing quatrain
Excellent use of the alternating refrain lines borrowed from the first and third lines of the opening stanza
Good consonance of soft S sounds in silences embrace
good alliteration in tracked trace
and sacred space
and in lavish language
and in calm kissed
good internal rhyme in background soundtrack
vivid detail of setting that adds to the serene, sacred tone
Brooke :-)
