Gayle. What a story. Much appreciated the ride. You should have let Kip have him, and hang the consequences. My admiration sits squarely on your shoulders... No, I'd better not: I'm so heavy I'd stop you posting the next one! Same old story: I held my breath, leaning forward into the desk as if that would get me there sooner... Heart beat pounding. Pat.

It's like a roller coaster, hey, Pat? Just when you think you've had the big thrill, here comes another. We're only about half way through the book, so there's plenty ahead!

    Thanks for the great comments!

Oh, I love it, love it, love it. Kip is wonderful. We should all be so lucky as to be loved and adored like that. Her talking and attitude set my toes to tingling. Looked like she was ready to take Tony on there for a minute. Whew! Great expressions of love.

Of course, the fault with the plan was how did she get to his place if she needed a jump?

causing him to emit a shrill, high-pitched [whistle==>shriek/whine] of abject horror.

Hugs,
Renie

    Hey Renie,

I love Kip, too. I'm developing quite the canine contingent. Pretty soon we won't need the humans!

Funny about that needing a jump? That very thing happened to me about a year ago. I don't know whether Angel had a slow drain or what, but there we were, and she just coasted to a stop. Had to get a jump. Say, do you know where the battery is on a Jag? Me neither, at least, not then. It's in the trunk, which they call the boot, hidden under the virtually non-existant back seat!

    Thanks!

    Love,

What a terrific chapter, Gayle. The team worked well together on this one. I must have missed the reason why they didn't want the cops to see Amy in another book. Really glad that Kip got her bearings, she certainly won't cow down to any other intruder or threat. Really too bad they didn't let her eat that perp. Very well done.

LOL! Frank, you're not the only one who wanted a piece of Norman. I kinda had fun with Tony and Kip, too.

Well, it's far from over and so, I'm back at the keyboard. Can't wait to see where they take me next!

That is a beautiful sixer, my friend, and I thank you so much for it. I loved this chapter, too.

Hi, Gayle!

Terry turned and walked down the steps, keeping her distance as she retraced her steps >>>close repeat of 'steps'

Norman kept pace with her, walking slightly to her right. Something really strange was going on>>>in the next paragraph he asks, "what the hell is going on?" Fairly close repeat.

Love your version of a Doberman attack. Scary.

Yep,you know about dogs. When I came home from a cruise, my 3 1/2 lb Bambi wasn't getting the attention she wanted, so she jumped into the middle of the kitchen table.

She placed one arm in his, her other hand stroking the sleek back head a>>>is that 'sleek BLACK head?'

Rudy called Kip several times, but she ignored his calls, deaf to anything that distracted her from the only thing on here (her) mind.

Instead, she seemed to plead her case with a determined assortment of whines and snarles (snarls) a

Through the blood lust (bloodlust) that filled her brain,

She was on auto-pilot (autopilot) or something."

What in the world ... can someone please tell me where(...) what is going on?"

The revolving lights warned of the arrival of the Sheriff (sheriff)

I don't know how I got here or anything, but you have to believe me(.) I don't know what's going on."

We sent a partner from our agency, Rudy Clark, to be her body guard (bodyguard)and

Good grief, Norma, I'm blushing all over my face. I made all the fixes and can't thank you enough for all your help here. It just goes to show you when you get too excited you can make the stupidest errors. Thanks so much for the eagle eye and your time.

I'm happy that Cathy was rescued. I like the paragraph where the Doberman attacked Norman. Its description was vivid and easy to visualize. It scared Norman away. That left Nathan wondering what happened. Kip and Rudy were very happy to see Cathy.

I think it would've been cool if the dog would have at least got him one good time on the leg or something..

I liked the dog being pissed off and wanting to get norman despite the calls from Rudy.. I wonder how the nathan/ norman thing is going to work out now though.

this chapter flowed easily..great job..

Everybody's so blood-thirsty around here, lol! I was tempted but we still have too much more of the book to go to get him bit here. Just wait!

    Thanks for the great review,
