this limerick has what is required by the competition and humour. They must have humour and be enjoyed, my English teacher used to say if it makes you laugh, it has to right.

not sure that that applies to all things today but some.

That's about right. I think the world gets a bit too serious at times and limericks should never be sombre I think. All the ones I've read until writing this one have got a giggle out of me and I truly enjoy reading the form!
