Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. For a mere $49.95 per month you can have our "service" amp up your position in the listings. Just think, if we only increase your sells by 10 a week, then your monthly fee is paid for then, and the other three weeks are gravy. And this does not count on the customers that now buy your books directly.
The sky's the limit with our service! I used to write spiels for sales people. I could write this in my sleep. You are smart to catch him. I hope your story saves other people from trouble. Karen

Good information, and you disclosed this concisely. I have had contacts from people claiming to be able to better market or republish my book. But you have to remember, as you did, that you are under contract and the contracted publisher is obligated to fulfill their half of the bargain, and you are obligated to stay with them. Westbow warned me of scammers that will offer you movie deals, distribution deals, all sorts of things. Sorry times we are living in. estory

Yes, Kevin has warned me about other companies contacting me. This person pretended to be from Amazon. He was not. Thank you for the support.

Well, thank you. I've been getting regular calls from the book show in Germany. They want to represent me there. I am always hesitant when it comes to cold calls from "publishers". People will scam you every which way they can. Gretchen

To me if they contact you, you are being scammed. If I wanted their service, I would contact them. Thank you for the support.

I have published two books and on both books I have received those kind of calls. I recognize it as being for my scammer and I just dismissed the thing altogether. I had the advantage because I did not answer the phone and they left a message and I realized it was a scam. There are some out there who are telling you that they'll make your book into a movie or all kinds of things that mean there are so many scammers out there. Thanks for sharing this with people so they know it should not be fooled by these idiots. patricia.

I have published two books and on both books I have received those kind of calls. I recognize it as being for my scammer and I just dismissed the thing altogether. There are some out there who are telling you that they'll make your book into a movie or all kinds of things that mean there are so many scammers out there. Parasites like this try to take advantage of writers who want to be successful and famous. I used to sing, but realized that I prefer being anonymous. Oh it is great to be successful, but I enjoy being able to go wherever I want to without attracting attention. The trick I think is do not be too hungry for success. Work on your craft and if success finds you, you will be ready for it.
