Chapter moved along nicely. I guess Rebeka didn't like Tyler's suggestion to let Roger call Amber. Possible to begin this chapter with some word as to why she went ahead and did a Zoom call?

Its probably just me, but I found the humming part a bit childish.

"Let's pretend we (Elena and I) were still together, and I helped you, if - I found this confusing with the we, referring to Tyler and Rebeka.

Looking forward to the next post.
John

I made the correction. This post is part of a larger chapter and will make sense when the entire chapter is read together. Thank you for the kind review.

Barbara,

This is a great part of chapter 2. I am rooting for them to get together and I hope they do. I have a feeling they will. Call it intuition or something like that.

Well done my friend.

Cecilia

Thank you for the kind review. This is a romance novel. LOL

You're welcome. I kind of figured it was. LOL

My boys tease me because I watch the Hallmark Channel. They always comment about the couple will get together but remind them the fun part is how they work it out.

I love the Hallmark channel. My boys don't get it. I use to read a lot of Harlequin romance when I was younger.

Rebeka is going to have to get used to Tyler helping her and genuinely helping her. It is obvious that she has been deceived but it was not Tyler who deceived her, and she is going to have to learn to trust him. There is no other way.

Rebeka has trust issues. Thank you for the kind review.

I certainly could not blame her in the face of the deception she has faced.

I thought sure Tyler was going to 'just coincidentally' have a speculum laying around.
Nicely written. Interesting - living her next novel.
Best wishes.

Thank you for the kind review. Tyler is above board.

I was just referring to a 'coincidence' factor, not anything to do with character. Too many coincidences are bothersome

Such a lovely read and so comprehensive as to all the reasons for BS levels rising and so on. Are you familiar with the Libre system for blood sugar monitoring? I wear a disk in my arm, either left or right, for monitoring bloood sugar levels viamy phone and the doc can monitor it, locally as well. No spags.

Thank you for the kind review. Rebeka isn't at that point, yet. Maybe later, maybe not. I had gestation diabetes while pregnant, but once the baby was born, no problems.

You always create the best men heroes for your novels. I'm afraid for all those single ladies reading your books that they'll be so disappointed in men around them. :)) I'm guessing there'll be two weddings at the end as Amber already likes Roger even before they met!

Thank you for the kind review. One never knows. True about the men, but it's fun dreaming.

This is a very well written chapter and I very much enjoyed listening to it. It flows very well when it is read aloud and I wish you the very best with your writing. I am also looking forward to reading your book. May you have a wonderful day and may God bless your week. PatriciaA

"You too seem to get along well... " (change too to two - did I really just write 2 2 2, lol?)

Poor Rebekah is bleeding and I'm worried about her sitting on the couch and getting blood on it.

It's telling that they both believe Rebekah's father is a "threat."

Tyler's arms around her calms her, but it was make me even more tense being I didn't really know him, and it's dark, and there's no one else around. I think it's a bit of a leap that she seems to trust him as much as she does, but I also believe he's so different from her father and Richard that she feels she can trust him.

Have a great trip.

I can't believe I made that 'two' mistake. My brain in not fully functioning right now. LOL Thank you for the kind review. Plus, the people who's already reviewed didn't catch it.

I saw no glaring errors, and the story is proceeding right along your normal course. The good doctor was there to 'help' Rebecka physically and emotionally. Too bad those darn roads still are clear.

I know you like to have your characters in a static place and bound together, but I think you will need a more plausible reason this time.

Give them couple of days and the roads will be clear. Here in Texas, they rarely clear the country roads, plus this time they need to repair the bridge. You're thinking of how fast they clear the roads in Illinois. Doesn't happen that way in Texas. They don't have snow ploughs. You may not believe me, but they don't. It rarely snows but does once in a while. Hasn't at all this year. I live on top of a hill, whenever it ices, they simply block off the hill and I don't go anywhere until it warms up enough to melt the ice. Usually only takes a few days.

Very nice post, Barb. There are a lot of possibilities ahead. Rebeka's present situation might lead to complications with her pregnancy. Tyler will have to get more involved.
