One can never trust a vicious knid Patrick, we all know that.
I love the way you weave the play of WWI and Willy Wonka into a twisted psuedo fan fiction.
Your entry is much better than my feeble effort and I am pleased you won.
Well done.

If I ever had to go to war, I would want to be fighting here. Completely nuts but so much fun...for a war that is. I loved all the names you came up with. I loved that Swiss Miss was there in all her neutrality lol. I knew it was the Lollipop Guild. However, when the Monkees sang Last Train to Clarksville, I thought they were saying Clodsville. lol I found this by scrolling and don't know why it didn't show in my messages since I follow you. any ideas? Great job.

Thank you, Marilyn! I'm glad you liked it! It was a blind contest entry that I posted last week. When the contest ended last night, I decided to promote it. Thank you for the 6-star, dear friend! 😊

Ha, this was crazy, but I loved each line and the information early one gave needed context to fully understand the situation Wonka and the others faced. I see why this won the contest, great idea.

Thank you, lancellot! Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. I tend to wait until I get a dozen or so reviews before answering them all at once, and this one is the first of that batch. I am glad you liked the story, and I really appreciate one of your 6-stars! Have a good weekend!

Hi there,
Your selected lampoonery fits this competition theme very well indeed, although perhaps it should come under the category of 'fan fiction'.
Great tone and sense of playfulness.
Just a points of interest here -
, vermicious knids were originally aliens and not from loompaland! That's a movie affectation! lol
Wonkavision doesn't send images - This invention is used for instead of broadcasting images from a screen it broadcasts real life objects to the television set.
Lollipopkins - I believe it's the Lollipop Guild.
All the best

Thank you for this! You certainly saved me on the "Lollipop Guild" count. My whole life I thought those little twerps were singing "We represent the Lollipopkins!" 🤣 And you are absolutely right about the "fan fiction" label. Your idea concerning Wonkavision was also well taken. I grew up on the movie and love it, and I did know this about Wonkavision. I decided to just keep the name of the brand so I could keep the reference, but change it to Wonkavision Industries. I think this is the best compromise. I really appreciate you helping me make my story better! 😎

This is a fun fantasy story of war in Candyland and how those knids behaved reminded me of some politicians in America's election campaign! This is an inventive Wonka story full of ups and downs and magical moments, I enjoyed this wonderful escape from reality, good luck in the contest, love Dolly x x x
