Hi Roy,
You pose a great question, one that begs contemplation. A child does imitate his parent. We must do the same if we consider Him our Father. Your poem allows us the opportunity to examine our true relationship. As you said, it's so simple! We're His children and that's that!

Great questions, Roy. There's much to think about in your words today. Great challenge from Elaine, too! There are a few places where you need a question mark instead of a period. I like the distinction between a child of God and a son. Nicely done! Blessings. Carol

An excellent poem, exhorting believers to examine their walk of faith. I think some of what you're referring to is heart knowledge versus head knowledge. But Jesus is 100% about relationship! Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful poem

I think as we get closer to God we become dowers of His will and just not only learners of it. My grandma would always say pray to know God rather than to understand Him, for in knowing Him you will be eager to follow His ways.

or do you simply skim?
My wife and I have devotion time in the morning, along with coffee. We read the bible, talk, and pray. I enjoy your work Roy, very much.
