Animals are very intuitive. They always know when something is up. I went on a trip recently and my dogs hung their heads at the site of the suitcase.

I'd like to give both kitties a big hug. They look so adorable. I sat here and read your story in a poem with as much interest as I would have in a chapter of a humorous novel. Two cats communicating on Zoom, developing a plot to prevent one cat from having to move. What a creative, fun story. I really enjoyed reading it.

Thanks Loraine and it was fun to write too. I have never been a cat lover, but how could I not love my little Ruby, always dressed to kill. Also my son lives next door with wife, and two sons. His cat's name is Kevin and we always treat I'm like the boy on Home alone. Remember that part when the mom is in the airplane and she remembers Kevin?? Lol... pretty funny so the cat Kevin gets the razzing all the time. Thanks for your fun review and comments. I always look forward to that beautiful rose.

That is cute. It does make you wonder what goes through their minds sometimes. My daughter moved with her cat and says her cat misses the next-door neighbor's cat he used to go out to the foyer of their apartment to play with him.

Dear Debi, I have been putting this off for ages, so now it has come round again when I do have time!

Patch is a clever cat to balance on his hind legs. I know lots of cats who go up like that, but few who can stay there. And now I realize that Ruby is a Silver Tabby! My absolute favorite kind of cat; I met one in Austria when I first sang there in the 1980s. The lady near where we were staying would cycle everywhere with the cat in a front wicker basket - obviously enjoying the ride. I wrote a song called 'Silver Puss' (to a tune by John Rutter).

Rhyming couplets and anapestic tetrameter - wow! There are a few glitches, but I won't suggest fixes today (unless you ask me) - I will just enjoy the story: Well, I know it really, because I am up to date with Patch's calendar - though I don't know the story of the rings - but I can believe anything of cats. Secretly, they are far more intelligent than we could possibly imagine!

Love from Paul

This is so cute, a great story. I think its hilarious, the idea of cars on a zoom call. Both felines pictured are adorable, I love cats the best. Thanks for sharing.

Hahahaha -- who put that ring in there anyway? Which one of those two, hmm? Ruby, you naughty cat!

"Now that the two are zooming, both the kitties are good friends..." LOL! I thought you meant "the zoomies" at first...

What a fun poem, you!

Oh, you! The way you cleverly connive the plans that Patch and Ruby would devise...for anyone with a fur baby knows who REALLY runs the household!
Kenzi is moving? Not too far away I hope! What would we do without her art bedazzling your poetry?

Is she still going to be "right around the corner?" I can't bear to think of Madison ever moving more than ten miles away!

This is a lovely kitty inspired poem. So many people on this site are cat people and used the kitty as their profine picture. I read a lot of stories about patches and I wouldn't be surpirsed ti these super intelligent felines might want to get together on computer and coverse with each other on skype.

So, they're zooming and plotting. I can totally picture that. Cats are extremely intuitive and can sense change - which they do not like. You and Helen have to cooperate and not allow anymore moves. Too stressful.

HI Debi,
This poem tells of a couple smart cats who seem to think the are smarter than humans. Patch realizes with packing and all things you do before a move, that something is happening. So Patch gets together with Ruby to plan how do deal with the move. Nice rhyming story,
Keep writing and stay healthy
Enjoy the rest of the week.
