I am grateful for the opportunity to learn more about Highest Mountain ( as well as many other pieces that you mentioned in the story) and the artist behind it.

I'm not crazy over the works of Peter Max but it's impressive that you own several as they are expensive! I'm a Tarkay fan myself and have several art works of his bought at auction on cruise ships. I too look for color in the works I buy and get great joy from hanging them on my walls.

I didn't listen to the song yet I loved it just the same. I love Peter Max and all he stands for. He was a flower child of the sixties and painted with his heart wide open and his mind full of wonder for all humankind. I love that you collect artwork of visionary people like Peter Max. I have often wished I was back in the sixties when love and peace ruled the day. Thanks for sharing and caring for a deeply patriotic part of yourself.

I learned so much about Peter Max from your story. I never realized he and his family had to flee Germany and what a great American he is. In a story tht is not very large, you were very economical in your use of words and I consider this a faultless story.

I don't know the artist but am encouraged to look him up and learn more about him. Sounds like a very thoughtful and insightful person. Lovely that you chose to honour your dear wife's date of birth in such a way. Your love for her is very special and her memory likewise. A most interesting piece.
