there are some men who do not have houses, cars, boats or planes to leave their sons. However, those men who leave prime examples of how to be real men: brave , honorable, caring providers for their wives and children. Men who keep their word, praise and honor their creator. Men who love their fellow men, respect their country and those who fight to keep us all safe. These men leave their children a fortune that cannot be stolen, will not rust or ever lose its value.

This is a very beautiful observation of the photo. Very inspirational and quite fitting. Lessons that Pa's Pa passed downwhen he also clutched the same pole in his handsunder that full moon,
many moons ago.

I enjoyed your free verse, giving vivid memories f times long gone. I especially liked the way you introduced all the wisdom your father had passed on to you at thet time of your life.

Yeah, I miss my Pa, who was my grandfather. We, also, went fishing your notes bringing back to me that memory. I left his butt that day pulling up a crawfish. Super read in my given opinion.

Brilliant. I do have one suggestion, however. On your line in the third paragraph, "Never tell tales out of school.." You may want to place another period. Otherwise, brilliant poem. Congratulations, JLR! You have passed the Goosey Gander test :)

I enjoyed this free verse as it is well written and presented. You did a good job with the prompt, very creative.
I would consider the last stanza. The use of "Pa" multiple times feels awkward.
