Delightful list of bad-boy pranks - quite
imaginative and fun. I especially liked
"he pilfered spots from butterflies,
their wings now drab and dreary."
Cute picture of Sawyer - hardly recognized him though without his smile!

He is having a bit of a "naughty" patch, throwing food at Mommy. LOL Thanks so much, Nancy :-) Brooke

oh you gorgeous thing - your little guy seems to give you an inexhaustible supply of wise, bubbly yarns to spin, Brooke! The accompanying photo is, of course, priceless! :)S

What a wicked grandmother you are to identify poor, innocent sawyer with this evil fellow, leander!
Seriously, your poem is a lot of fun and I enjoyed the lengthy list of Leander's misdeeds - stealing the hop and the tickles were my favourites.

Thanks so much, Steve. Sawyer has been naughty lately, throwing food at Mommy, so I figured I'd make her laugh with this one :-) Brooke

Oh wow he has to be thinking about something very seriously from the look on his adorable little face. We love the profile picture too but then we just love this little guy. By the way the poem was great too. (Haha) God loves you and so do I.

He has been having a battle of wills with Mommy lately at meal time LOL. Thank you so much, Evelyn and Janie :-) Brooke

Your well penned narrative poem could evolve into a child's
story book. Lenander seems to have had a huge melt-down, allowing his evil side to run ramped, until his mother put and end to it by putting him in bed.

Oh, I love the expression that Miranda caught on Sawyer's face.
He does,,indeed, look a bit villainous. LOL
Such a charming story.
Yes, being tucked in Mother' s bed cures most things.

I just love the look, like a villain in a melodrama right before he ties the girl onto the train tracks. LOL Thank you, Diane :-) Your twins will get around to the evil eye soon enough ;-) Brooke

I am so glad that rules have changed a bit on this site and that I am able to give this fantastic poem the six star rating it deserves. I know I will run out them soon, but still, it's nice to be able to reward THIS poem as it so richly deserves.
Leander, Sawyer's evil twin, is diabolically sweet, and has enormous appeal despite his pilfering ways. Loved the story and the poem - Bravo, my friend. This one is 'outta the park.' Rose.

This is a delightful poem. I love the tone. It has a delightful flow. I had just one hiccup - "their honey", I think it would flow better if it was "the honey."

adewpearl--The return of the impish sprite, Leander. :)
If looks were death rays...someone in the path of this look
would be toasted. A whimsical and hyperbolic list of no-
good-deeds employed by scribe's antagonist. Apt penalty for
shenanigans. Witty humored piece. teafor2

His mom has the best death stare on the planet - I think he has inherited it. LOL Thanks so much, teafor2 :-) Brooke

Comment from Leineco
Leander seems to be a trial
bent on stealing everything
that makes our life worthwhile
even hatchling's promise to sing.
I wonder what it is he did
with all those things he stole-
this thieving little kid,
did he give them to a troll?
They do not seem to have reached in
and brightened up his soul
or caused his tilt to spin
into a pleasant role.
But mom has put a stop to this
said "Leave the star light whole,
your greed has gotten ridiculous-
It's time I took control!"
She tucked him in
and kissed his head
then sadly thought "I only win,
when Leander is snuggled in his bed."
LOL - I'm sure Leander is a lovely child - but I couldn't resist this rejoinder :-)
