~ Pois-s-s-soned Paras-s-s-sol ~ This is an excellent poem you have created here. A lesson learned, is a lesson earned. Murder does certainly not pay when the dead can come and visit, and take you along. Well done, Dean.

Horror stories always fascinate me. It is a genre I am not familiar with. I find Poe distasteful though he writes beautiful poetry. In this post the tension lies with the conflicting, contradictory images. They confuse us yet we hang on because we are intrigued. Can beauty and terror blend. Sartre said; 'Beauty is terror ' and I never understood this. Rilke said that beauty and terror both disdain to destroy us. I wonder if we need all the pictures? -Ekim777

Hi, Dean,
This is really cool. I check it out on the new format, and what a vast difference.
I'm sticking with the classic. Although, I checked out my poem for the twins on the new one because I forgot, and jeesh--had to do some 'fixing' on that site.
Your presentation on this site is as always 'awesome!' Love the story and graphics. Vast difference in the two 'for sure.'
In your own words! "Pleasant Screams Heh-heh-heh"
Cheers & Blessings
Keep Smilin'... Jax (*,*)

Chthonian, well you introduced me to a new word, although I am not sure I can find a reason for me to use it in a romance novel, but one never knows. LOL I looked it up in my dictionary. Very interesting word, it goes back to Greek mythology. I enjoyed reading your poem. Once again you gave us a very creative poem.

Hi Dean Kuch,
It seems to read OK on the new version I am seeing, so perhaps it's a browser thing. I'd say this cad got his just desserts when the spectre of his victim claimed him. Cyanide occurs naturally in many foods, including almonds ...

Thanks, Patrick, I really appreciate the excellent review, my friend. Yes, low amounts of cyanide are present in many foods, especially almonds. Hence, the almond-like odor. :)

Hi Dean,
He sure learned the hard way. Wouldn't it be great if all killers were haunted by their victims? I enjoyed the haunt, especially since it was for revenge.
I'm using only FS classic. That name cracks me up. After just a few hours, the old format became classic. It took Coca Cola a lot longer than that, lol.
Hugs,
Lou

Another well deserved six stars for you Dean. An enjoyable read with loads of visual imagery and impressive rhyming. A scary presentation (especially in classic FS). This greedy guy never did get to enjoy her money. Loved the story in this poem. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks a million, Nurse barb, I truly appreciate it. I hate for the "bad guys" to win. However, while it does happen, it does not in this particular case, heh...heh.
Thanks so much again! :)

Hi Dean what a dark but fascinating piece of well written poetry. You have an amazing imagination. I am old fashioned so I stick to the 'old' facebook so was able to read it all. Well done.

Thank you, Wendyanne, and thanks for letting me know where you're reading it from. That new & improved FS really messes with my formatting here lately. I hope they get all of those bugs worked out soon, but I imagine it will take some doing.
Thanks again for your review, I do appreciate it immensely. :}

this is an excellent write, dean, you did an excellent job writing this quatrain poem about the wife who had her revenge and took her killer husband to his death. I enjoyed reading it. my cousin one time at work in a lab accidentally swallowed cyanide instead of her coffee. she said she never took coffee in the lab again.

Excellent poem. Lines rhymed good. Nice and scary looking.
( I feel the old style is better site)
SHE CAME TO ME, THEN IN A DREAM.
( SUGGESTION: PUT THEN. TAKE OUT AS.)
WHILE TRYING TO SUPPRESS A DREAM
