I love this sound; can't wait to hear the music. The lyrics are beautiful and in keeping with the grand lyrics of country music. No one can beat country writers when it comes to writing lyrics.

this is a fine piece of poetic art dear brett! believing in someone can be as peaceful as believing in something. i'm an absolutist but my man drinks on occassions and i find it very annoying to say the least. but i love him dearly and won't leave him except if he cheats on me.

Hi, I enjoy these. I would not see them as country lyrics. I...tend to think you're being hard on yourself, but then maybe that's my angle or excuse.

Angels need guys like you and me and so many others to make them feel like angels! I have yet to see a country song about that!

I have one problem with the poem as you have it:

"She's the rock that I still lean on. The gold inside our wedding rings."

Why two sentences here instead of one with a comma?

Good job. Take it easy on the Jack Daniels.

This is about the guilt of abusing the love of a good wife. Somebody once said that patient people can be as patient as they can be, but once they revolt it is irreversible.

The poem read without a bump and the rhythm was as pronounced as a kick drum. The rhymes came steadily and did a good job decorating the tails of the lines.

I was trying to imagine the tune as I read through this. I think it will be a terrific song, with that repeated stanza. I've never done one of these, but it looks like it would be fun to try. Excellent work!

This my friend is pure country. Sadly though for you, George Jones is no longer with us. These are lyrics he has lived.

I hope you can find a publisher for this, it really is that good. Have you had any of your songs recorded or published? This one sure deserves to find success
