I just love to read your poetry and hope that you have put it all into several books and shared it with the rest of the world. Not only did I smile at the loveliness of this poem but I was awed by your imagination and sense of fun. Thank you so much.

I would have awarded this six (if I had them). Not only a well rhymed poem, the subject is so original, something seldom thought about. You have brought that gaping mouth to life and gave it a new meaning. Pete

You should do a book of children's poetry, as you are so very good at it. You also have a knack for finding words in poetry to thrill all ages. This was an excellent piece of poetic art to have read and written this response for... John

Wow! Just when I think that you cannot possibly top the last great poem that you have written, you come up with a top notch winner like this, totally hitting it out of the park. I cannot even find the words to adequately express how impressed I am with the skill, the creativity that gave birth to this great poem. Just wow!

Here's to many more library adventures for Sawyer! I bet he adored this rhymed description of what he imagined and was captured by his mother in the photo. I too wonder if all the characters meet up at night at the bottom of the book drop! Thanks for sharing your wonderful, whimsical tale with bits of alliteration as well. Smiles- Joan

Your poems are always so wonderfully done. I really love how you took something as simple as a book drop and made it come alive. You really seem to have an insight into a child's mind (and I don't mean that in any kind of negative way. It's very creative). Well done.

I love the picture. It is a cute little one. Children's imaginations come alive when they read books. They would be likely to imagine wheat happened when the book was dropped into no where. Great work.

I am laughing right now. This put a big smile on my face, and for a few moments you took me out of my doldrums to visit the land of the book drop. Ingenious, the way your delightful mind works....

You are so creative, Brooke! To write such an imaginative poem about a book drop: who would have imagined? And I thought "Pilloried" was about as creative as you could get! Great use of alliteration: mysterious/mansions; munches/mountains, and perfect rhyming. Thanks again for sharing another poem (and Sawyer) with us. Take care. Alana
