I could have sworn I reviewed this senryu already - in fact, I AM sure I read it because it made such an impression on me. (Maybe I was interrupted before I wrote the review and forgot by the time I can back to FS.)

Anyway, senryu doesn't get any better, in my opinion. Sad, though...
Good luck in the contest.

This is a strong entry into the Senryu Poem writing prompt. It is well written and this presentation is great. Contest requirements fulfilled in spades. I enjoyed this. Good luck in the contest.

Nothing is more beautiful than a rose. Alas, a rose will not last forever. We go into a beautiful marriage filled with love and hope, thinking that it will forever, too, but alas, so many do not. Loved your piece. Don't quite get the analogy here. Hopefully, the marriage lasted longer than the dozen roses did. I loved the musical accompaniment. Thank you!

Thank you for reviewing. The dead roses are a metaphor for the end of the marriage...tossed to the curb

You really captured a lot of emotion in this short piece. It takes a good amount of skill to do that, and you succeeded. Nice job.
