At Christmas, everyone wants to be happy for ... 24 hours. The banks in my country have a lucrative Christmas loan scheme going and the tagline for their promos is Making Christmas Magical. I'm a teacher and I have a few parents who would have literally spent their last dimes on holiday gifts last year ... trying to make their kids happy, or so they think.
