Hi Karen,
It is true that political opinions can be almost hereditary. This does make some views skewed to that. I sometimes think every one should be independent and be able to vote for the candidate they think best no just for party.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.
Have a great day
Joan

Thanks for the read and kind thoughts. I also think that politiacal parties have ruined the vote. We should vote for people not parties. Karen

Don't mention it, Karen. Great minds think alike.

Well, as you already know, since I don't know the first thing about poetry I just have to enjoy the word, and most of all the pictures. And you, my dear, have a perfect understanding of what it takes to get my attention.
Thanks for sharing.

That's a good poem with a lot of truth. Most of what we believe comes from our various family members. We can also choose not to believe in what they think. For example, we don't have to be prejudiced against anyone, but we remember the lessons they taught.

Family can be a blessing and a curse. I love my sisters, but they are weird. maybe weirder than me. LOL
    Thanks for the read. Karen

This lune poem, Thoughty Thoughts, has the proper formatting and seems to suggest that all reactions to literature reading, or perhaps all things, are destined to be delivered with an ounce of sarcasm.

Thanks for the read. Sarcasm is one of my weapons I use to fight the dull and tedious. I am too decrepit to fight with my body, so I use my mind. :-) Karen

Bred in the bone. I believe some of our ways, thoughts, and opinions are structured in our DNA. I think some are formed out of life experiences. Maybe many of them. But, we all have our own, and I, for one, can appreciate that. You, my creative friend, are welcome to share yours anytime, for they are the magic in your craft.
God bless,
Steve

Thanks for the read. Your words are like M&M's. I want more of the good stuff. You sure know how to give compliments. I am glad you are understanding that we all have ailments of one kind of another that we live with. Kidney stones are an icky kind to be sure. I have heard that it is close to what we ladies go through to give birth. We get a baby you get to see chucks of minerals. Hardly seems fair! Love ya handsome. Karen

Right, I couldn't afford them if they were babies, lol. However, they all have names, most of which are inaudible and unrecognizable.
    Compliments are well deserved.

Will do. I'll be taking Mom for a bone density test at noon. I will be writing and reviewing afterward.

Great form, good use of it, and I agree! All viewpoints are "seeded" early on with our first experiences. I'm apt to agree that some of them are passed on through our DNA, in fact! At 71 years of age is scares me how much I sound like my father. Most of that is good. (Er, a few things are not!)

Good luck!

Thanks for the read. We grow into our opinions. I sound like my momma, and I am perfectly happy with that. She was the goal of what I wanted to become.
I wonder what she thinks for me now. I hope she is happy in heaven with daddy. I like to think that she is a teacher giving classes on life skills to eager students. Or, doing stand up somewhere to loving audiences. :-) Karen

I hope so, I do my best. I miss her all the time. Some days I forget briefly, and want to tell her a joke. She is inside me, along with a few others. :-)

Karen,

This is a great lune poem. It is well organized and flows nicely. I do believe viewpoints can be skewed and after all you know what they say about opinions. Some of what we believe is in our DNA.

Well done my friend and good luck in the contest.

Cecilia

Thanks for the read. We are all born knowing some things already. We learn by watching and listening to others. Some of us had good teachers. Some, were not so lucky. I was then, and still am, a sponge. I soak up as much knowledge as I can. Learning new stuff helps your brain operate better and staves off dementia. So far so good. :-) Karen

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. This beautiful red head, I would say has many opinions and doesn't have a problem sharing them. I enjoyed reading your entry and wish you luck with the contest.

Thanks for the read. I think we all wish to do better and improve our lot and those around us. Most people want to do good and help others. But we will encounter some not so good ones too. I tell everyone that the person in the office of the president will need our prayers more than ever, to guide his hand. We need to pray for him to do things the best way, not the cheapest way, or the quickest way. Love to you and yours. Karen

-Nice artwork and presentation.
-A well written lune with a good topic.
-A good opening line about your viewpoint,
followed by opinions and how they are formed.
-The repetition of the 'b' sound
emphasizes your point very well.
-Good luck in the contest.

Thanks for the read. This fairly leaped onto the page. We grow into our opinions, and it is hard to shake them. 25% but no snow. Karen

Now that is a bold statement, Karen.
Which bone? My incessant curiosity cries in puzzlement.
Were it mine then most of my opinions are formed either in the funny bone or my coccyx.

With the great unwashed voting the way they did, I feel I am living in a very bad sitcom. 25% here but no snow thank goodness. Karen
