I did enjoy this! Your little mutt looks just like our beloved Rusti Angel, who passed away I'm 2018. My you have many happy years with your new doggy, as we did with Rusti. She was a Yorkie, American Eskimo mix. I enjoyed your post.
Best wishes,
Alex

Oh, thank you so much for this great review! We too have a dog that has passed away. They sure bring joy to our families. XOXO

Couldn't fit a turkey in there anywhere, huh?
I've always thought this was rather a weird form, but you've managed it well, with the possible exception of lurky!
I like how the AI pic just shows dogs literally bursting through the bars of their cages.

Yes, I thought about using turkey, do you think that would be a better word than lurky? Also I told AI to only have the cute mutt coming out of the kennel but oh well.
Thank you for reviewing

Ha! I see you've changed it already. Good for you. It goes well in that final line turkey strut!
PS I have used Albuquerque for that rhyme in one of my poems but I guess that would do irreparable damage to your syllable count!

Yes, I think you are correct lol about Albuquerque
Although it would work Albuquerque jerky, turkey trot
