I really enjoyed this poem.
It had a very nice flow, reading it - the words just seemed to flow into each other well, I am not a poetry expert, but I do enjoy a rhyming poem!
There was also a discernable story within it, which I think most people could relate to, regardless of whatever their religious leanings are.
Excellent work.

Your poem reminds me of Psalm twenty three, the valley of the shadow of death. God is our Shepard and we will never want. An excellent poem as always Roy.

Great is your faithfulness, Lord unto me. Yes, in valleys of despair we do learn. I appreciated your poem because it is relevant to us as we age. We forget things, our eyesight fails, we have no strength. But Jesus does.

Those "valleys of despair" are great teachers. I've learned so much about myself, others, and this world that God has made. My long, twisted path shows that I'm a slow learner. Thank you, Roy, for your beautiful words.

Even when Satan tempts us because we feel life is too rough and we fall into dispair, we just need to open our eyes and hearts and know that God is always there. He will show us the way if we let him. What a wonderful world it would be if everyone did that.

I love the Quatern and the Kyrielle because of the repetitive refrain. I always felt that style with a strong refrain works extremely well. Just like in your poem today, wonderful poem of faith. All of these things are an example of the kind of love we should have for each other. Oh if only we could learn that. Imagine a world without hate, or need, wrongful striving or greed.
