I like your very first two lines. Great wordplay. "Rob
Redbreast." is speak for all of us here. Leaving his pretty home
For he knows cold is coming
And to protect his family
He needs to move to greener pastures
He looks forward to returning next Spring.

What a lovely tale of the Robin. Here where I am, they don't migrate and can be seen with their red breasts shining in the chiliest of winter snow.

Dear poet, I love bird poems
and this one is excellent.
We pretty much have a backyard wild bird sanctuary.
My daughter and son-in-law
have put up several birdhouses and feeders. No
pun intended, but they flock
here. Have a mellow evening.

I love the robin redbreast, one of my favourite birds, you captured here beautifully the journey Rob has to take when the cold sets in until Spring. Well done. Is the style called-early morning sentinel?

Not all robins fly south for the winter, many of them remain because they are to weak to make the journey. Instead they face a bleak winter and hope to survive. A poignant poem for the club, love Dolly x x x
