An excellent entry for the 5-7-5 ode poetry writing prompt. Beautiful poem that I wish adults to find a way to emulate. children could lead us to a perfect world.

This 5-7-5, An Ode to Innocence, has the proper formatting and finds that the hatred and mistrust is not inherited but programed into the minds of people.

How true this is. There is no colour bar amongst young children unless imposed by their parents. I wish you all good fortune in the contest. There is much we can learn from our offspring.

This is a great poem. It is simple, but gets the point across. The picture is perfect for this poem. Children don't know hate until it's taught to them. Unfortunately, here in the south prejudice still reigns and it's sad. It's generational.

Such a powerful message! The way you express the need for peace through the innocence of children is so moving. "Hugs not bullets" is perfect. It's a call for kindness and love. I really appreciate the message in your poem. Beautifully said in so few words!

They sure do but unfortunately they become innocent instant sufferers and victims if war. Beautiful image and message. Well done.

Children are innocent and show their true feelings and it is only when they receive a biased education do they change as adults, I enjoyed your fine wise words here, love Dolly x x x
