I really loved this piece and especially how you described the lone fisherman on the seas sailing towards the comfort of home as the day nears it end. An excellent piece, Pam, I really enjoyed reading it.

Right off the bat we have two lines that set the stage for the fisherman's day and your lovely tribute poem.
"He wraps all his fish in yesterday's news." - Love it!
Just as you did for the farmer, you've written a story of a man's life, passion, and family with your rhyming poem. And you've added the art work, as well. You're a creative one, Pam!
Thanks for sharing.

I liked your artwork to compliment your story/poem. Like you, I grew up with a fishing line and my dad taught me how to fish. The whole family were mad keen fisherfolk. And yes, we can't take the female crabs and all the crabs must be measured. Once I had a fish on, hauling it in, it was heavy. Attached to the fish was a blue swimmer crab! K xx

"Fatigue and desire will cancel, you know", is the most beautiful line I've heard here. One's imagination can take him places, but, your imagination has me wanting to live there forever. I've been planning to go to the US Virgin Islands for a year now. Maybe next summer. We all need to slow down and just do it.

This is so good and detailed in fact. This reader felt informed almost to the point of being a fisherman himself. The terms and language brought reality to the tale. Most enjoyable.
