Hello Roy,
thanks for bring up the question of our position with the Lord. There are entire religions that know and follow a particular mindset. They follow the letter of the law, yet don't have the heart of God. Well done my friend.
Have a blessed day.

Wow! A tough thing to consider. I know you follow God's voice and will not do anything that would break your union from what I've seen and heard, so I'd say you are just where you should be, Myself, I try at times, I know I've failed sometimes, but tried and I have no other place I want to be, so I think I'm doing well.

I am trying to make conscious efforts to do what God expects. Most of it is hard to follow through. It's quite frankly, out of my comfort zone. That sounds bad as I consider myself a Christian, but it's true. I guess I'm trying to be In God. Great poem. Gretchen

Thank you for this true & beautiful observation of what we should be like as we grow in God. A son really tries hard to step right into the footprints of his father...wants to be like him! I want to be like the Father...have His very attitude toward all mankind.

So true. This poem is truly inspired by God. My husband I had a similar conversation. He doesn't understand God wants a personal relationship with each one of us. He grew up with a minister father. I've tried to explain that God lives in our hearts. He's not ready, I guess. It has to be a personal relationship. I can only plant a seed and pray.

Yes, there is a difference. I know Him and I'm found in Him. The other truly, truly is: ye must be born again. Unless we are born again, we are mere spectators. A wonderful poem, my friend, and beautifully illustrated.
Blessings abundant.

Good use of questions to challenge all readers about their Christian walk, and whether they are in fact imitating their heavenly Father, by living in His ways and speaking in ways that honour Him.

I liked reading this. It uses the poetic techniques of meter, rhyme, and questions to gently prod the reader into examining what living by faith means. The second stanza points out that we are all children of God and are going through the mortal experience just like Adam did first. Thanks for posting!

Thank you for this challenge, Roy! I admit that sometimes I'm in a hurry and only skim the Word of God and it is all so familiar that I don't stop to just breathe it in. May we all strive more to live in Him!

This is really one to think about. Of course, one can be a student of the word of God, but that's not the same as being following him, imitating his ways, as a son likes to do with his father. Excellent rhyme. You've used a lot of questions, but you don't have question marks after all of them. judi
