The joke was funny because it's so TRUE!!! Almost everyone who's reviewed this has found Jane off-the-charts annoying. Gretchen and I are loving the reaction.

Wow! WOW! Wow! I love the part about "having a senior moment" and "corn rolls in the hair". My grandma used to say those phrases. I don't know how this trip is going to go with nut job going with them lol. I can't wait to see how that goes. Great writing.

Your delight with and reaction to the clothes Tova brought you was very humorous. Then we have the scene with the nervous Rebekah that was very sweet. I also loved this description: "She nods, and I'm sure it's so I don't hear the tears that would be the undertow in her speaking voice."
"The nut job's" manner of speaking was perfect in relating how annoying she is. Please don't bring her to the convention; I have no desire to meet her. Sounds, though, like you have other plans for her since you mentioned another detour. Let's hope she doesn't drive you nuts before you dump her somewhere.

I was away for almost 10 days and missed a lot .So I read three chapters at a stretch .I read Gretchen's version first...

The second car was Manny and Tova's. We WISH the nut job had driven separately. Believe it or not, she's going to get even worse. Gretchen wants to leave her @ a rest stop! You and she think a lot alike!! Thanks for the very fun review! Xo
