I have spent all my sixes and I am so sorry for a five.... Again! You have missed you your calling as a stand-up comedian! Oh my, I'm still laughing as I type this. I was a Realtor for awhile, and I am a witness to these colorful clients, defective houses, spooky neighbors and ruthless real estate professionals moonlighting with the mob. I already wrote about a home owner giving a tour of her home clad in see-thru pajamas and twelve inches of dental floss hanging out of her front teeth. (I offered to get it out, but she ignored me and continued with the tour.)
A delight ful read and book chapter! Sending you my best today as always,.Sal XOs

Sally, seriously? See-through jammies and a nautical mile of dental floss still between her teeth? Oh, Woman, YOU WIN Real Estate Story Wars, NO. CLOSE. SECONDS!! What is the name of this story; I MUST read it!! I'm in hysterics just from this tiny snippet!!
Thank you, as always for a review that is SO warm and gracious and encouraging. I always love it when I open up my Review tab and see your name and photo. You're just wonderful. xo

Rachelle, you have written a great and very funny story. I would suggest if there is a realtor publication you should submit this story. It is exceptional. I am sharing this with my realtor. Terry

Well, that would certainly one way to never have to worry about continuing on in the field!! Somehow, I don't think this would be as well received by that audience!!
I appreciate the supportive review, though, and the extra stars, as well. Thanks, Terry. xo

Funny you mentioned that, I sent it to my realtor who has helped the last couple of years buying and selling. She thought it was hilarious!
Then I thought, individuals will love this, but the "Industry" would not. I think it should be the story of the month! Terry.

I love the way you think!!!

Hehehe, I love it Rachelle. Being an estate agent doesn't seem to be for you.
You wrote this with humoured and a great sense of reality. I loved it all the way through. All best, Ulla:)))

I've laughed until I choked on my tongue. I kept a realtor license until last March, tired of paying the yearly fee for what hadn't been used for anything but buying and selling in twenty years. It appears we agree on something. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Heyyy! I daresay we've agreed on MANY things here on FS. I'm glad you got a good laugh out of it, though, and I appreciate the wonderful feedback. Thanks very much. xo

Oh well written indeed! Very humorous as well. And you are still with your husband?! Lol. Very vivid descriptions of your feelings and emotions as well as of the woman going through the window, and of course the neighbours!

You have to admit, this is one hell of a good story for dinner parties, Rachelle, Lol. The visual of that woman stuck half in and half out of the window was hilarious, as was the wonderful neighbours. I'm taking your book on holiday with me at the end of next week. Have a lovely day!! :)) Sandra xx

You do lead an interesting life, and I respect that you face it all with a sense of humor. One of the things that make your stories so enjoyable is that you do manage to find the humor in every situation.
I also like that you have a wry sense of humor. The joke is in the story itself, and in the way you tell it, rather than as a lead-up followed by a punchline. Your approach allows the humor to be spread throughout the story, and not just wait until the end.
I suspect you'll have more realtor stories to share -- but good luck trying to match your client going in through the window!

I'd be okay if that was the "funniest" one I ever experience. It's remarkable it didn't get me in really bad trouble with the Real Estate Board!!
-
Yes, but if it had, they?d have revoked your license. Problem solved!!!
-
Damn! Why didn't I think of that??!!

That's why two heads are better than one -- although preferably not on the same body.

OMG! What a tale. You need to get your tail out of this business. You are too honest for this field. I loved how you related each incident. There is a lot of LOL moments in your story. This is so well-done. Keep writing your stories in this size font, so I may keep reading them. This was an enjoyable read.

I'm committed for another two years because my license was due to expire in September, and I still had that (nightmare) listing to close. Hopefully, though, two years from now, I'll have the monkey off my back!!
Thanks for the nice review. xo

I hope it speeds by quickly. You are most welcome.

Ha! Rachelle, this is the most entertaining piece I have read all day! You have an alluring style. It's as though once you've read one of your pieces, you can't help but wonder what she has up her sleeve for the next one! You never disappoint, my friend. This is sensationally written! Best, JohnC

I thought this was great. You told this story with plenty of wit and humor; I loved the alcoholic coven behind the house for sale, and your description of the people buying and selling houses, the heightened sense of tension and anxiety you feel in dealing with these stressful situations. We really get that this is a profession you really didn't want and don't much like. It's maybe of special interest to me now because I am in the middle of selling my dad's house. estory

Are you selling it yourself? And are you in NYS? If you need any advice, definitely pm because, even though I don't love the profession, I do know how to help navigate you through it.
Thank you for the really nice review and the extra star, too! Very much appreciated. xo
