This poem is good as a free verse acrostic but the rules do say that the poem must rhyme. Go and play around with it a bit. You still have time.

    Okay, I have made the corrections. Does it rhyme now? Is it good enough for a five stars rating? Can you please check?

This was a great entry into the acrostic poetry contest. I agree with your subject choice. I think if you teach kids to enjoy reading you're giving them the keys to the kingdom. Very nice job. Good luck in the contest.
