Hello Dean Kuch,
Masterpiece of Horror and Thriller Poetry beautifully introducing the poet as well!
Wording is impressive and perfectly matching with the theme.
Smooth and captivating flow with lovely rhyming scheme and lively imagery.
Picture enhances intensity of the theme.
"Yes, I'm a horror writer, 'tis true,
who yearns to shock the life from you;
deliver a shiver, raise your hair --
wait... who's in the dark just over there?"
SIX STARS for your Super Self-confidence!

Wow...A real spine chilling read. You were born to write. You can conjure up wonderful images in such a seemingly effortless way. Well done!

LOL! This is sooooo you, Dean! I love your work, which obviously tells you something about me! I can read horror, but watching it in the films, is a no-go for me. It has been a pleasure reading your work all through this year, my friend, and I look forward to reading loads more. By the way, how did you get that photo of me and my inner self????
Hope you had a lovely scary Christmas, Dean, and I wish you a brilliant 2015!! xsx sandra

As usual, more than meets the eye in this. One can so easily be dragged down by the monsters that lie within. There are some too, particularly in the current climate of terrorism and counter-terrorism, who ensnare others in the entrails of their own monstrosity.

It's ME over in the dark, Deanie Boy, and I've got my handgun, license and all. So write your little horror stories, but you can't touch me, so you can't scare me. In fact, I LIKE that last photo. Really clever. The alien crawling out of her face is adorable. I want to take it home and raise it as my own. :)

Hah, well, you just wait right where you are, Phyllis, and I'll go and grab the little bugger out of the closet for ya. I gotta warn you though. He ain't house broken yet! LOL...

Thanks for the gr-r-r-e-a-t review, my talented fiend...er-r, heh-heh... I mean friend. I hope you have a safe, happy and very prosperous 2015. :)

You're very welcome, Dean. And thank YOU.

(takes the little alien baby in her arms)

What a cute little fella you are.

(it jumps down to the floor)

No, don't. Come back here. Come to Mama. Doesn't he come with a leash, Dean? Oh, it's okay. He probably just wants to say goodbye to you.

    ...

Oh, my gaawwwd! Geez. Sorry, Dean. Hard to believe those are just baby teeth! I guess I'll have to train him not to chomp on guy's crotches. Need some help cleaning up that blood?

    ...

Oh, don't be such a big baby. Thought by now you'd be used to a little horror. Anyway, you're over-reacting. I'm sure by now they've developed a bionic one.

    ...

    Okay, okaaaaayyy! We're leaving.

(ducks a knife blade, dodges a bullet, kicks her attacker in his remaining ball and barricades the door behind her)

    ...

He sure is a grouchy man, isn't he? Come on, Kuchy. That's gonna be your name. You like it, Kuchy? Kuchy, kuchy, kuuuu. Aw, you and I are going to get along just fine. What's that? Still hungry? Sure, let's go find that cop who gave me a speeding ticket this morning...

Ha-ha! That could be a story all it's own, Phyllis. You've got one heck of an imagination, and that's one of the things (just one) I have always loved about ya!

    hee-hee!

I really love this poem! The image at the end was quite chilling, but I feel like this poem really fits you as a writer. The imagery of this poem is amazing.

Beautifully written and quite funny piece. Do you write other kinds of content as well. The homunculus idea is a good fit for horror as well as an aspect of your thinking. don

I have to say that your content is unnerving. But I'm not shocked because I have seen and dealt with these beings for a while now - including the Greys. I used to sleep with all the lights on and the radio, but then when some electromagnetic asshole would show up between 2:30 and 4:00 a.m. to suck the light out of me, the radio would cut out and the lights would flicker. If it weren't for Archangel Michael making an appearance to reassure me I'd probably be in a mental institution by now. Fortunately, I work in one so I have my room all picked out. It has a lovely view of the woods...

Dean, that was one fabulous self examination. Good poem, good thought and hilarious in tone and intent.
I just quickly thought of a 5/7/5 on you:

Horror is you bread
Each one is a rich with blood
Screaming to be read!

I've been seeing a lot of horror lately. The latest one (apart from this poem) were the lines from Macbeth -

Fair is foul and foul is fair
Hover through the fog and filthy air.

Thank you.

Thanks, ravim. A great review and a bit of literary culture. What more could a horror writer ask for from a reviewer?

    Much obliged! :)
