A lot of good reading in this poem and your author notes are most intriguing. As usual your display is superb and a great deal of work you have put in to this (as you always do). It's a 6 - but a virtual one I'm afraid, none left. Great read. Regards Dorothy

Thanks so much for the outstanding review, Dorothy. I am just happy to know that you like the pictapoem ® series, and that you appreciate everything that goes in to putting one together. It's encouraging reviews such as yours that keep me going!

I love to hear about places like this. My husband doesn't believe in ghosts, but he has accompanied me on many a ghost tour. Maybe it's just the history that I love to hear. This was another exceptional poem. Listening to the spurs, the horses, the wind, the creaking doors, and the sound of the ravens - very real. Thanks so much for sharing.

It's probably a little of both, Linda. And your dear hubby may believe in ghosts just a little more than he's leading you to believe.
Thanks for the wonderful review, my friend!

I've had some experiences but he is a hard sell.

As always, I really enjoy the pictapoem format, especially the way you layer your music and sound effects as well. The sound, aesthetic and linework all play really well off each other. Finally, I enjoy the way you broke up your quatrains here, having single quatrains to start and finish and pairs of quatrains for the body. Really excellent work on this piece, thanks for sharing.

Thanks very much, elchupakabra, I'm really glad you liked this poem. I also appreciate the fact that you picked up on that structure. You're the first one to have caught that. That's why I enjoy getting your feed back, it's always honest and intelligently written.
Thanks again, I do appreciate it!

Your poetry is always a feast is delightful creepiness. The compositions are so well crafted. Full of animation, sounds, sights. True showmanship embedded in poignant poetry, I love reading you stuff. This haunted town sounds like one to avoid. No surprise the Devil's Peak is nearby.

Hah, yes, good old Devil's Peak. It figures, right Tom?

Dear Dean,
You almost scared me away. LOL Yet, your writing forced me to stay. You captured my undivided attention, and I had the guts to stay and read this enigmatic, splendid poem. You do know how to entertain in such a delightful way. You throw your words, sprinkling them with great soundtrack to back up your message. Always great to read you, Dean. Bravo!!

Whew! I certainly don't want to scare you away, Elaine. Scare you, yes...but never away... (LOL)
I'm very glad the writing was enticing enough to prompt you into continuing, Elaine. This is a wonderful review, and it would have been a shame to have missed out on it. Thanks so much, I really appreciate it.

Raven's Fare sounds like a very spooky place to even pass through much less take a vacation there. 8-)
I think I will pass. I wouldn't want to run into Stinky or Petey. The author's notes were interesting and added to the tone of the poem. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks very much, Mary. And, believe it or not, I don't think I'm booking a trip there anytime soon either!
I appreciate the great review and feedback!

Well, I learnt something new this evening! Raven's Fare sounds like just the place for the Ghost Busters! Isn't it true though, that old places with a history to them do seem to exude a certain aura. 'Oh, how the ancient spirits howl!' You capture the mood perfectly with your poem and all the AV support!

Thanks once more for your extensive foot note, I learn from them. It is a very good poem about an unsafe town. All written with good rhyme and flow.

Thanks very much, robina1978, I sincerely appreciate that.
Who says we can't teach and entertain at the same time, right? I always appreciate when an author includes footnotes, that's the main reason I always do.
Thanks again. You have a fantastic weekend!

Yikes! I'm no good at critiquing poetry so won't even try to make suggestions. However, this sends shivers down my back---and it isn't just the sound effects! I think that was your intention---so you have succeeded!

Well, yes, it certainly was, TooTori, and you have made a horror hacks day complete by telling me so. If this one scared you, good thing you missed my last post, ~Betrothed Remains~...That one would've curled your hair, LOL!
Thanks for the outstanding review. I sincerely appreciate it...
