A very well-written free verse poem. The cycle of life is part of our existence. Our children grow up and they have children to care for until they are grown up.

I loved the poem and the picture of the darling twins. As grandmother ( and great grandmother) I can certainly identify with your message. The repeat of the phrase "Oh how I loved...." kept the verse moving nicely. I felt that the verse that begins with "suddenly now..." was a bit short and broke the pattern of the remaining verses? Was this intentional? Perhaps you were emphasizing the passing of time?
Nice work.

Thanks for your comments and review. The short phrase - just is - it's free verse - no set pattern:)

OH excellent love poem, not what I expected but better.
I love the free style you used and the short lines to bring emphasis to the babies.
Very well done.

This is such a sweet poem reminding us that our little ones do grow up so quickly. Mine are five and eight now. Cute picture, too. Easy to read poem with good flow and love how you started and ended the poem with the same verse.
It was the essence of growing old and the memories we keep. Very nice , Teresa and thanks for sharing. I enjoyed it.

Very nicely done, Teresa. It does seem like the kids grow too fast and then are gone, but the grandchildren are a precious blessing, Cute picture
