Sad, but true. Hardship changes everything - our hopes, our dreams and ultimately, ourselves. It gives us strentgth to endure, but we might end up feeling unfulfilled, just a shadow of our younger selves. Very creative and touching piece.

Sad, but true. Hardship changes everything - our hopes, our dreams and ultimately, ourselves. It gives us strentgth to endure, but we might end up feeling unfulfilled, just a shadow of our younger selves. Very creative and touching piece.

Your acrostic loop poem is very entrancing and profound. Entrancing in the sound of words repeated, profound in their meaning. I like 'life that's inhaled by shadows.' I especially get that one from my own dreary days.

Deep, profound, your poem needs a couple of readings because you make the reader think and dwell on life. The words move smoothly, and your theme has universal appeal. We are all alive, but not all of us have the luxury of living, life gets in the way.
