Sounds like things are looking up for Wayne and Rhonda. And he was close to being put on life support! He certainly is a fighter, and as you describe it, on his way to being released from the hospital. What you wrote is so true. We never know what the day might bring. It could be something as serious as a stroke. Wayne was fortunate he was at least able to get out the one word, Help. That was all it took to have help on the scene. Yes, prayers were answered. He and his family are fortunate, as he looks like he will make it through. Excellent rhyme in this and the wording is well chosen tor this occasion. judi

    Thanks, Judi!

Isn't his story inspiring? A phone app brought him medical attention and God saw him through!

Karenina,

In your poem you told us the story which led to Wayne's hospitalization in detailed poetic form. You hit many details. I read things in your poem I was not aware of in what and how it happened to Wayne.

Thank you for the heartfelt poem.

Caio,
John

    Thanks, John...

If not for Rhonda's poem and author's notes I would not have known the details...

    Prayers continue!

Hello Karenina,
A marvelous poem for Rhonda and Wayne. Sometimes those little things, like being prepared, make all the difference in the world. Minutes can save lives.
As can strength, hope, and prayer.
Beautifully rhymed and written. I'm sure Rhonda and Wayne appreciate all the support from fanstorians.
Best wishes to all.
Six stars to shine on Wayne and Rhonda.
Robert

That is very well done. I have no sixes left to bestow. I took care of my third mother in law when she started having her strokes. She didn't like anyone else much. I moved her in. He she hadn't of fallen on me one day while I was moving her, thus breaking my back again, I might still have been married to number three. I think I married him because I loved her so much. He died in 2017 at the age of 77. I was nowhere near him. I did not dislike him, I just was never in love with him. I told him I loved him and I did. But when he asked me to marry him on multiple occasions, I told him I was not in love with him. He said his momma wanted us to get married. Low blow. I married him.
I lasted nine years. I don't regret it. But, I did not want to be married to m y brother. That is what it was like. Whine whine whine. If people have good help and love they can improve. And, things are much better than in 1990. Karen

    Hey, Karen!

It sounds like you were a real blessing to your former Mother-in-Law.

God leads us where he needs us!

    Thanks for sharing...

Yes, I did feel that I was in the right place, right then. And then, when my back required surgery it was time to leave. I gave stabilty to #2 same guy, and his family that they never had with him before. He is damaged, beyond anything I can deal with. It is hard when everyone always looks to you to fix things. And when you can no lon ger do so, they do not know you. WHiney McWhine again. Thanks for your friendship. Karen

He may well have been on his way to meet his Maker ~ but with prayer and great medical care he came back from what the doctors' thought was impending life support to recovery and rehab!

    Thanks, Bill-

Beautifully written, Karenina. I could feel the heart-felt love and warmth throughout the poem and know that you and everyone else on FS mean every word triple-fold. I believe in the power of prayers and hope that every word is heard and granted. Thank you for sharing this lovely poem
