I loved this one. An animated treat, rich in color and imagination, and providing a lyrical treat that sings a melodious tune in its presentation.

Hi Brooke,
I love books, and reading about books.
I read a wonderful sci-fi story, many moons ago, about a planter inhabited by sad characters from once popular books that were now neglected. I imagine in this dreadful PC age the place is getting crowded. My favorite childhood character, Billy Bunter, is actually banned!!!

Ah, surely summer is here, and
vacation time is spent with time
for young children who think and
say the most charming things that
bring thoughts to the mind of
grandparents to sit down and
tell such tender poetic tales of
childhood which passes too quickly.
Well done

Wonderful, and It is no surprise seeing Sawyer with a book. Great short tale, and one young children would love, as it will spark their imaginations.

Thank you, lancellot, for your thoughtful review. He has all his dozens of books at home memorized, so his mommy thought the library would be a good idea. LOL :-) Brooke

Hi Brooke,
I loved this one, the fantasy images it conjures up for the reader are great. I'll never be able to see another library 'book drop' drawer with quite the same view.

Well, first, kudos to Sawyer and his mother and you for turning him on to reading at such a young age. The meter you chose for this poem, written in a child's voice, is perfect. I'm a library nut, and I know you are as well. In fact, John and I are spending Wednesday at the new downtown SD library and then heading for an early dinner in Little Italy. Fun read. I'm pleased to say we have our granddaughter Katie hooked on reading as well. Sue

Sue, a big thanks to my fellow library fan :-) He knows all of his dozens of books at home by heart - he can finish any line in any book that Miranda stops reading part way through, so it was time to hit the library. LOL :-) Brooke
