I haven't seen you around, glad you are back! Good music for the end of all we can see around us, living, moving before we go under ground to live.

This was very worthy of a six rating. I loved the language and the rhyming. The rhythm was awesome and the music, which I usually don't like with reading, was chosen well. I could read and not be distracted.

Hi, Dean.
Loves the atmosphere you create here through your well chosen words.
Excellent rhyming throughout.
I particularly like the opening stanza.
Superb use of consonance in many verses makes it flow really well.
I enjoyed reading this one.

A rather brilliant poem that points to an inevitable Armageddon. I do tend to agree with you, however I tend to have a more optimistic view! I don't believe that man controls the future, but more subject to other powers. Irrespective, this is a very powerful poem, with a strong narrative flow throughout! Its rhythm flow is a little inconsistent in places, otherwise a well researched and complete work! Well done. Roy.

Thanks for your foot note that helped better understanding. I absolutely adored your general layout. These killing chemicals are awful and could hit anywhere.

good aaab rhyming
excellent alliteration in phrases like whispering winds and silent sentinels
vivid and mood-creating details of setting
very eerie - the horrid pox stanza gives me the creeps
good cadence when read aloud
good internal rhyme in jeering, leering
fascinating author notes
that are just as eerie as the poem...
