Once again you capture my attention.
I found this chapter to be very interesting to read
I thought you did a great job with the conversation between the Father and that sharp tongue Debra

I'm so glad I had a six for this.
Bev, you are so creative, my friend. I could picture the sleazy Debra and smiled as poor Father Brian fell right into her trap!
So very well done! Hugs and kisses xxx :)
Spags:
flavored coffees? (no apostrophe)
pet dander (sounds better than dandruff in connection with pets!)
more complicated (during/over) the last few years
goodbyes (no apostrophe)

In a way, this reminds me of a Victorian drama, I think it is the wonderful descriptions..that makes the reader feel as if they are there, and not just reading, but living it. I think your addition of the dog, is simply super, and makes us instantly feel a connection. thank you for choosing my artwork. Donkeyoatey

I think the woman is interesting. I can imagine how she can infuriate the priest. She made me laugh and at the same time. Good job making me feel all that.

Debra is quite a character. It was funny how she fell inside when he finally got the door open. It was great how Father Brian controlled his anger. His dog had better manners then Debra. Well done, Bev.
I'm anxious to find out who is killing these people.

A niece that every one would love to put in a coffin and bury alive. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Really enjoyed this. Darcy is indeed a piece of work, and you characterize her so well. She complains about everything, and she shows her rudeness to Father Brian several times during her visit. All of this after Father Brian is trying to be so sensitive and is thinking carefully about what to say, considering that Debra was brutally murdered. Darcy totally disregards her aunt's Catholic religion when it comes to planning the funeral. As Darcy predicts, the church will probably be full. Perhaps the killer will show up, just as Father Brian has been thinking. Excellent work. judi

You're welcome. I always look forward to more. Charles Dickens's watchword was Make 'em laugh, make 'em cry, make 'em wait.

I like that! Thanks, judi. :0) Bev

this is very well written, writingfundimension, you did an excellent job writing this chapter where darcy visits the priest and finagles her way into him paying for the luncheon after the mass. she's a piece of work

Hi Bev,
That Darcy is something else - I wanted to jump up an ring her bloody neck - then I remembered - just a story.
Great dialogue and also well penned sneakiness of Darcy.
No issues my end - smooth and well penned as always.
I didn't want the post to end.
Thanks for sharing it.

I wanted to wring Darcy's neck by the time I finished reading this. She is a manipulative, bossy, insensitive, greedy, tactless... need I go on. I hate her. Poor Father Brian to have to deal with her.
Thank God he has Alex to lighten his day with a kiss and a cheerful tail wag.
Wonderful chapter. I may have nightmares about Darcy though.
LOL

There's a dog bakery in town. If I had a dog, I'd be in there all the time. They have bisquits shaped like UPS guys LOL. XXX Bev
-
How funny. UPS guy cookies. I wonder what the flavor is.
I love it!

They're brown, so I can only guess!
