Good artwork and presentation, Debi. You wrote a good poem with effective imagery and rhyme. Each verse has a good message. The concluding verse addresses the key to your poem. I think that prayer is a daily thing, and we should never take anything for granted. As soon as you do, the bottom drops out. Your last line says a lot, and also makes a very good point.
Your descriptive statement said you needed more time with your family. I hope you accomplish that if that is your goal. Take care and have a very good New Year.

This is probably one of the most God honoring things that we can do as opposed to having made resolutions. I wish you the very best with sharing the gospel with others so that they come to know the Lord as well and you have a wonderful day and may your new year be blessed. Patricia

For me through the years when I was a speaker for Christian women's club the important part of my speaking was to share the gospel with the folks. I spoke 42 different times and I saw over 50 ladies make decisions for the Lord in those times.

Yes, I know. Remember I wrote all that in your birthday tribute. I even remember that you are a bit of a stand up comic. I love it! Happy New Year, dear friend. Debi

Debi,
This is a lovely poem. I too have family that doesn't believe and it hurts my heart. They don't believe he exists. They will stay on earth and burn with everything else.
Well done my friend.
Happy New Year

An excellent poem for the new year, and well written. I like the image with the focus on a godly nation, and that will mean a humble one as well. (Greatness in the eyes of the world is a different and not necessarily noble goal.) Yes, our focus should be on living closely with Jesus and encouraging others to do likewise. Thank you for sharing.

Powerful, words to follow, words of the truth. May I add my own?
The Devine
The divine is given, it is why we are here,
Directed by our Lord, loud and clear,
Life given. by Devine origin,
Give to the one born for all, in death a life to begin,
A thankful harmony, always forgiven
Deny any that wish you to sin

I must give you a six and higher if I could because this is the best thought we all should have s we enter the New Year. Our family and friends and ourselves need to believe and be ready for the Lord to come. We don't know when but we do know how and if we don't accept him now, it will be too late. I pray the Lord knows I am a sinner, but that I believe in Him and know that he forgives me and will show me the light.
Smiles and hugs, Carol
