such a beautiful tribute to your family and your journey from full to empty nest! I am just at the early part of the journey you describe, and am hoping not to take a moment for granted!

Life's greatest blessings regardless of the sometimes rocky road. Those moments of sharing and unfolding their love makes everything worth it. Even if they left you with a "empty nest" physically, their love fills you and every corner of your home. It's evident in your words. Well done and thank you for sharing.
Have a blessed day! Carol

This is a neat format. I take it that you invented it and made the rules. I will have to give it a try. I know that empty nest syndrome. The first time, I felt like crying, but then by the time I started enjoying it they all came back like boomerangs. By the time they all left again I was really fine with it.
This was a delightful poem. I enjoyed reading it.

Hi Beth, yes, I wrote this as something I could use a long side Sally's Circus poems. I am not big on free verse, as we all know I am a natural born rhymes, LOL.
But loved her style, so in answer to hers I wrote the birth of the Merry~go~Rhyme and it was well received so I do them from time to time. I will give you the link to it and maybe you'd like to try one.
I thank you so very much for the very kind review for my empty nest poem.. The older I get, the more nostalgic I have become so I write about it so I don't drive my family crazy.
I appreciate all of your kind words. Thanks again, my very dear friend.
Love, Deb

Just beautiful, my talented friend and fellow empty nester. I felt like you were rocking away in your favorite chair as you wrote this. Love the internal and external rhyming scheme of your signature style-- the Merry~Go~Rhyme.
Sending you my best today as always, Debi dear, and blessings abundant.

Thank you for sharing this fun poem with us. It flowed perfectly and accurately described a mother's and a grandmother's love for their children and grandchildren. Our greatest accomplishments.
