Hi there,
I love this ending to your story... made me laugh... really clever.
Lisa
I looked at him and replied, "I've only seen a picture, but that's not what I noticed first."
"Really, what was it?"
"She accepts medicare payment."

As a fellow physician it gave me great joy to read this wonderful piece of writing. We do try hard every day. I actually never switch off from thinking about patients. I go home and worry that I forgot to check a test or an x-ray. We, as a profession, bear the brunt of many a whinge. It was uplifting to read your thoughts. Thank you, Jacqueline

Hi Terry, what a fun and thorough story and medical report you have given us. Lol. Anyone else could have been boring telling this, but every detail was fun and enlightening,. For a guy with so many medical issues you sure are healthy.
I remember about your Dr friend and how you had worked together for a while. I know it's been a while, but once again, I'm sorry for your loss.
I'm also glad you take such good care of yourself and that you take the time to make the appointments. Especially the heart issues you deal with. This goes w/o saying but I'd be devastated if something happened to you. You truly are one of my dearest friends!
I do hate going to doctors! I'm horrible, as I would much rather not go until things get out of hand. I'm just bad in that way. I have many things I've procrastinated on again, but not the new treatment they have me on. I've been warned.
And of course there were numerous parts that made me laugh, but my favorite was the Medicare comment at the time.
It was a fun read and thanks so much for this awesome post, my dear friend!

Debi, thank you for the six stars. I do have the same feeling as you. I just hate to get "in the medical system." What I mean by that is that I lose control of what is going on. But I have been fortunate to this point. Terry.

You're very good with the ironic Terry, you're very dry, unusual for an American, but common in Australia or England. I too have hardly had an infection, except a propensity for tonsillitis, up to forty years ago, but God fixed that, never had a problem since, never caught Covid either, as my wife was spared also, a lot of Christians forget there is an Old Testament promise about that. Love your chatty articles Terry, well done, blessings Roy

Roy, thank you for your review and catching the typo. I had lunch yesterday with fans of yours, davisr(Ronda), annmuma, and Sarah Robin. We all talked about you...in a very positive way. Terry.

You ended with a funny line. I like that. You sound like you've been through a lot as I have. I have lupus, and avascular necrosis, for starters. You're very lucky to have such a network of doctor friends.
